I feel bad dunking on them so much but it's genuinely absurd how bad the new Claude Code desktop app is. You can feel the vibe code leaking everywhere. Every "feature" is barely integrated and full of edge cases that weren't considered. Every menu feels barren, stuffed in last second for some random toggle. Every hotkey breaks as soon as you try to do anything else. I've lost track of how many bugs I've encountered. I found at least 40 in under an hour. And it's all truly absurd arcane shit. Stuff like voice mode typing in all input boxes instead of just the one you have focused. Any one of these issues would have been enough for me to do a massive post-mortem and likely fire someone. A $400b company shipping this is absurd. I feel like I'm going mad. How does anyone seriously use this?? It is broken on fundamental levels that are hard to comprehend. How are we supposed to trust the code these models produce if Anthropic's official showcases are absolute slop? Dedicated video on this coming tomorrow. Just needed to get this off my chest.

@warpkc @warpdotdev Long sessions with Claude on Windows 11. Just type to Claude for a while and you’ll experience massive slowdowns. And I’m not exaggerating, it was like playing a video game at 5 fps.

@swarmctrl @warpdotdev Would love to hear more about what kind of performance issues you were seeing. Were you also seeing high memory usage? Were you using the Warp agent, other agent CLI (like Claude Code), or no agents? We have recently pushed quite a few performance fixes.

New jobs being created
Aaron Levie@levie

The more enterprises I talk to about AI agent transformation, the more it’s clear that there is going to be a new type of role in most enterprises going forward. The job is to be the agent deployer and manager in teams. Here’s the rough JD: This person will need to figure out what are the highest leverage set of workflows on a team are (either existing or new ones) where agents can actually drive significantly more value for the team and company. In general, it’s going to be in areas where if you threw compute (in the form of agents) at a task you could either execute it 100X faster or do it 100X more times than before. Examples would be processing orders of magnitude more leads to hand them off to reps with extra customer signal, automating a contracting review and intake process, streamlining a client onboarding process to reduce as many straps as possible, setting up knowledge bases than the whole company taps into, and so on. This person’s job is to figure out what the future state workflow needs to look like to drive this new form of automation, and how to connect up the various existing or new systems in such a way that this can be fulfilled. The gnarly part of the work is mapping structured and unstructured data flows, figuring out the ideal workflow, getting the agent the context it needs to do the work properly, figuring out where the human interfaces with the agent and at what steps, manages evals and reviews after any major model or data change, and runs and manages the agents on an ongoing basis tracking KPIs, and so on. The person must be good at mapping the process and understanding where the value could be unlocked and be relatively technical, and has full autonomy to connect up business systems and drive automation. This means they’re comfortable with skills, MCP, CLIs, and so on, and the company believes it’s safe for them to do so. But also great operationally and at business. It may be an existing person repositioned, or a totally net new person in the company. There will likely need to be one or more of these people on every team, so it’s not a centralized role per se. It may rile up into IT or an AI team, or live in the function and just have checkpoints with a central function. This would also be a fantastic job for next gen hires who are leaning into AI, and are technical, to be able to go into. And for anyone concerned about engineers in the future, this will be an obvious area for these skills as well.

here’s a concrete example of how to make money with this new Claude drop build and sell AI agents for dentists a dentist’s office has the same 6 problems every single month: 1. patients not booking 2. no one answering calls at night 3. unpaid bills piling up 4. bad reviews (or no good reviews) 5. chasing people who haven’t been back in a year 6. new patient forms done manually here’s what your agent will do to solve these problems: 1. books appointments. patient fills out a form, it checks the calendar, sends the confirmation, reminds them 2 days before and the morning of. no receptionist needed. 2. answers every question at 3am. “do you take delta dental?” “how much is a crown?” it’s trained on the dental office’s info and answers instantly. 3. chases unpaid bills. sends polite follow ups, escalates if ignored. no awkward phone calls. 4. collects google reviews automatically (my favorite part). after every appointment it texts the patient. happy ones are asked to leave a Google review. unhappy ones get flagged privately before they post anything. 5. handles new patient intake. sends forms before the appointment, collects insurance info, follows up if anything is missing. 6. reactivates old patients. “hi sarah, it’s been 8 months since your last cleaning, want to book?” sent automatically to every single lapsed patient on the list. just build one AI agent that handles all of that and charge dental offices a $1,500 set up fee and $500 per month to maintain it. 20 clients = $10k per month the same playbook works for gyms, law firms, real estate agents, accountants. never has it been so easy to make money online

I realize yesterday’s Codex reset came in a bit at an unfortunate time given the last one was almost perfectly a week ago. To really celebrate the 3M I’ll reset again tomorrow. Thanks for the feedback!
