@GGunthorp @reprickhansen What is the value of these cattle and sheep if we have so many more of them? Won’t much larger production just mean starvation returns for those doing it?

What’s it look like to get more cattle and sheep back on perennial pasture in the corn belt? Is the only way it happens is to end crop subsidies?

There’s been a lot of chatter about recent FAPRI study suggesting year-round E15/SRE reform bill would be bad for soybeans & BBD. Just throwing this out there: FAPRI used 2026-27 BBD RVO assumptions that are 1.6 BG lower than reality in 2026 & 1.3 BG lower in 2027. They also missed extra 700 MG added to conventional RVO for both 2026-27. How can anyone take the analysis seriously given such whiffs on the RVOs? How much would their results change if they used the right numbers?!

Believe it or not, the corn belt grew more acres of corn in 1980, before ethanol, than today with record amounts of ethanol. 2025 Iowa 13,550,000 acres of corn with record ethanol production 1980 Iowa 14,000,000 acres of corn before ethanol 2025 Illinois 11,200,000 acres of corn with record ethanol production 1980 Illinois 11,600,000 acres of corn before ethanol 2025 Indiana 5,400,000 acres of corn with record ethanol production 1980 Indiana 6,450,000 acres of corn before ethanol quickstats.nass.usda.gov/results/C652CB… Northern areas started growing more corn acres as feed barley fell from favor from cattle feeders helped along with higher yielding early maturity varieties. This trend started before ethanol and continued after. If anything, feeding the triple concentrated distillers grains allows more roughage to be added to the feed ration. Speaking as someone who buys more grass fed beef than anyone around me. Since the 1996 Freedom to Farm Act passed, farmers are free to plant any crop they choose without risk of losing a government payment,

Ran into @RepPeteStauber at #CRESELS26 and got to thank him for voting to pass year-round E15 yesterday in the House. Drivers, farmers and producers in your district thank you for your support!

If I hear one more time about how some refiners “spend more on RINs than they do on payroll,” I’ll scream. First off, they made the choice to buy RINs from competitors rather than invest in blending. Second, the recoup their RIN costs in the crack spread. Third, ethanol producers spend more on petroleum-based denaturant (i.e., crappy gasoline) that they are forced by law to use than they spend on payroll. And you don’t hear them crying to Congress about it!

It was my pleasure to come along with @CVECethanol to highlight how E15 helps consumers save money and provide jobs and a stable market for corn in rural MN in the @wctrib
MN Corn Growers@mncorn

Ahead of this week’s expected U.S. House vote on year-round E15, several MCGA and @MNBiofuels leaders highlighted the value of E15 to their communities in letters to local newspapers. Read more: mankatofreepress.com/opinion/letter… wctrib.com/opinion/letter… @swedecorn1

Oil refiner front group says E15 is a “major burden” on consumers, then shows a picture of E15 selling for $1.20/gal less than regular gas this week (25% discount)! I (sort of) feel bad for the PR firm intern that posted this! #ethanol

Questions about E15? Hearing something about May 1? Check out this infographic that explains the facts about E15 - what vehicles can use it, fuel economy, is it cheaper, is it safe & tested, better for the environment and more! #ethanol

@Stanger3021 @dmfitzsimmons Brazil just raised their ethanol blend to 32%, India on track for an E-20 blend nationwide, maybe we are the only nation with politics so controlled by the oil cartel, we can’t even offer consumers a choice?

You would think a candidate running for congress in #mn01 farm country would support farmers by using E15 instead of paying more for less farmer grown ethanol.

E15 fuel economy back center stage. Here are MPG results from California testing. Average loss was 1.3% but note some saw MPG gain! The fuel is averaging a national discount of 8% today. Your cost per mile goes down with E15 - there is no debate. Add ethanol - octane goes up, cost goes down.

When I hear you should never take financial advice from your banker because it is only their job to give you money but… -You buy seed based on your seed dealer recommendations… -You buy equipment from what the equipment dealer recommends… -You buy fertilizer from the guy pulling your soil samples… -You buy fungicide from the person who found the disease… -And you take financial advice from your CPA who has never seen your balance sheet…

The handful of "small" refiners that stoped e15 legislation have fuel production $ of more then 2 times the value of all the ethanol $ produced in the United States
