@MichaelMBarber Having flown both jets one with a double club and one with a divian the double club is by far more preferred especially with groups or people or buisness associated. The divian has no space for each person and everyone’s feet is in the aisle. On takeoff you’re on top of everyone.

Double Club or Divan? Folks have quite strong preferences one way or the other. It’s impressive how passionate owners are about their decision too. Your thought? Does it differ if chartering vs in an owned asset?

What if.... @FergsSportsBar has just pulled a classic "heel turn" popularized by @WWE Beloved @RaysBaseball bar turns homeplate for visiting fan bases? Maybe they make more $ from visitors. I bet the most outraged fans haven't been in there for years. #raysup

@alt_w_v_g Thought about it and didn’t realize I’ve just been on auto pay. Even for a car I don’t even have anymore. Cancelled today from this thread today.

Ran some diligence on SiriusXM this weekend Not because anyone asked Because my 14-year-old nephew connected his phone to my car via Bluetooth, played a Spotify playlist, and asked me what the "SXM" button was for I didn't have an answer So I pulled the 10-K SiriusXM is an $8.56B revenue company with nearly $10B in debt and a $7.4B market cap Read that again The debt is larger than the company Their business model, simplified: 1. Pay automakers to install radios nobody asked for 2. Give every new car buyer a free trial they didn't request 3. Hope they forget to cancel 4. Charge them $25.99/month for something their phone does for $10.99 That's it. That's the model. They have 33M subscribers. Sounds impressive until they lost 301,000 self-pay subscribers last year. And hundreds of thousands the year before that. Revenue has declined three consecutive years The average subscriber is 35-64, male, household income over $150K. Over half have been paying for 10+ years. These aren't loyal customers These are people whose spouses haven't noticed the $25.99 charge on the Amex yet The crown jewel of the portfolio is Howard Stern. They pay him roughly $100M a year. He works three days a week. His show averages 125K daily listeners. That's $800 per listener per year My analyst did the math three times because he thought he was wrong He wasn't For that price, you could buy each listener a Spotify family plan, an Audible subscription, and still have enough left for AirPods Speaking of Spotify. Nearly 290M premium subscribers. Growing double digits. $10.99/month. Available on every device ever made. SiriusXM. 33M subscribers. Shrinking. $25.99/month. Requires a satellite. Spotify's full-year revenue grew 19%. SiriusXM's declined 2%. Spotify trades at 74x earnings. SiriusXM trades at 5x. The market is not confused about which direction these businesses are headed Their growth strategy is called the "trial funnel." There are 7.3M people driving cars with free SiriusXM trials. The conversion rate is not publicly disclosed. Probably because it's embarrassing They have 180M "enabled vehicles" in the U.S. They have 33M subscribers. That's an 18% attach rate on hardware they already paid to install. 82% of the cars with their radios in them are generating zero revenue In any other industry an 18% hit rate gets you fired In satellite radio, it gets you a seat on the NYSE Adjusted EBITDA margin is 31%. Looks healthy. Until you realize "adjusted" is doing a LOT of heavy lifting in a company that posted a $2.08B net loss the year prior. Adjusted EBITDA was $2.73B that same year The distance between those two numbers is called addbacks And they're working overtime 2026 guidance: flat revenue, flat EBITDA, slightly fewer subscribers. The CEO called this stability and meaningful progress. On Wall Street, we call this managed decline Warren Buffett owns 35.4% of this company. This is the most confusing part. The man who said "be fearful when others are greedy" bought a satellite radio company in the age of Bluetooth. His entry was a Liberty Media arb play that accidentally became a long-term hold. The stock is down over 50% from its highs. I don't know why he's still in. You don't know why. His shareholders definitely don't know why. The bull thesis: SiriusXM has 33M people who have been paying $15/month for a decade and have no plans to stop. That's $6B in recurring revenue from people who may not even remember they're subscribed. Churn is 1.5%. Lower than most SaaS companies. The bear thesis: Every teenager alive today has never used a car radio Both are probably right SiriusXM's competitive moat is not content. It's not technology. It's not brand. It's the 47 minutes it takes to cancel over the phone SiriusXM isn't a bad company. It's a case study in what happens when your moat is consumer apathy and your growth strategy requires General Motors. Plz fix. Thx. Sent from my iPhone

I had a chip filled by safelight. Signed the paperwork got the job done. Tech brings back the car says something to the front desk and scurries off. Front desk said it spidered. Which she says can happen and points to the form where I acknowledge it is a possibility. Windshield is now fully cracked.

Two of our Teslas were returned with windshield damage over the last week or so. Our 2022 Model 3 LR “Eleven” had two rock chips which are being filled on Tuesday by Safelite. Our 2022 Model Y LR “Loki” has an 18in crack along the passenger side of the windshield and will be replaced next Saturday by Safelite. Turo partners with them to replace with non-OEM glass at a discount price when conditions are met. As a Turo Power host, I’ll receive a Power Host Perk for the windshield repair as well.

@PIC_Colleen The Corgi planes are the best. I love our Westwind, but we have it up for sale. It’s more plane than we need anymore. It would be so much easier to jump in a single pilot turboprop that doesn’t require a type rating and the specific type currency that goes with it.

Two of my favorite things, the Corgi Westwind (she’s only 44) and the Ocala backdrop! I was joking that I need to find an operator out of here I can fly with in exchange for horse board & training fees… you know, cuz it’s horse land and I’m a horse gal. 🤓

Update on the High Mileage Model 3 - Official battery health came in at 70% of original capacity!! Pretty wild as I thought it would be significantly less. Thanks to everyone for their guesses as they were right across the board. Shoutout to Tesla for building this car. 610,000 kms (378,500 miles) and still on original battery. Well done @Tesla @elonmusk

@airmainengineer Why would the stall warning system fire. The anti ice was turned on so it had no reason to believe the wing was going to stall because or residual ice. Which looks like a failure of the Tks system.

On December 3, 2019, a BAE 125 800A was involved in an accident during an instrument approach to Coleman A. Young Municipal Airport in Detroit, Michigan. The crew was flying an ILS approach in icing conditions after activating the aircraft’s anti ice system. As the airplane approached the runway, the right wing suddenly dropped and the aircraft entered an aerodynamic stall. The crew had selected the correct reference speed for landing, but failed to add the additional 10 knots required for operations in icing conditions. The stall warning system did not activate prior to the loss of control, and the reason for this failure could not be determined. The aircraft impacted terrain near the runway, sustaining substantial damage. Both pilots were not injured. With runthisshitt

One of the best ideas ever for families traveling with kids and couples doing long-haul travel. I didn’t even consider a business-class ticket until my mid-thirties, when I finally had some financial wiggle room. Relax Row would have made affordable travel much more enjoyable back in those days!
United Airlines@united

The entire row is alllllll yours. Welcome to United Relax Row, three adjacent United Economy seats with adjustable leg rests that can each be raised or lowered to create a cozy lie-flat space for stretching out... You'll also get a mattress pad, blanket and two pillows. If you’re traveling with kids, a plushie too! United Relax Row will be available starting next year on more than 200 of our 787s and 777s, each with up to 12 of these brand-new rows. united.com/Elevated

@LarryToweTV @Turbinetraveler LGA has a ton of lights around it too so there is so very confusing light. Also the angle that truck one isn’t looking down the runway from the drivers side. Truck one and company was about 8 trucks. So if it wasn’t the first truck it was going to be the others.

@swedepilot @Turbinetraveler Interesting. Yeah, I understand what your saying. I spent a night at TPA on the runways doing a rubber removal story. It was a creapy feeling. I guess the crossed runways at LGA also make for visual light mess. Fly safe.

@LarryToweTV @deelo190 @kennethdavid @Turbinetraveler You would be surprised what you don’t see on a low visibility lots of lights night. Your brain does weird things. Besides it doesn’t matter it was multiple trucks. Even if the truck had been quick it was truck and company.

@deelo190 @Turbinetraveler It was trucks. Truck one and company. Not just one truck. It doesn’t matter if the truck took long there was a long line if it was quicker it could be the second or third or fourth truck.

Airline pilot here: I’ve made a few posts, for posterity it seems I should combine them so here goes: I guess I should lead with the fact that I know LGA really, really well - And having 1 controller working both ground and tower; late… on a Sunday is straight up normal. Anything you’re hearing about a controller shortage is BS. Should there be 1 guy working? No - But it’s been that way as long as I can remember. Second, if you listen to the audio. You can hear the controller try to stop the truck. Which means a few things. The truck took too long to cross after the initial clearance was issued. In LGA shit happens quickly. If you can’t execute you’re immediately stopped. So looking at the truck. He took too long to cross.. which means that he was either in the wrong position when he first called, or he was going too slow. BOTH are wrong. That’s problematic. So if you listen to the guy IN the truck.. he’s nervous. Classic low confidence read back. What that says to me? He was in training. Let’s investigate that a little further? If the fire department was going to train someone… you’d do it when it’s “quiet” right? Well, LGA is never more quiet than late, on a Sunday - You starting to see it yet? Now, the controller. Was task heavy already (being by himself) working two frequencies in low weather. But again, nothing new there. Especially that guy. I recognize his voice. He’s a rockstar. He can handle it if anyone can. Now… BEFORE the incident with the truck. It’s important to understand the truck was rolling in response to an emergency. There was already a United flight that had supposedly aborted a takeoff due to a fume event on the other side of the field. Usually not something they roll CFR for, BUT if you listen to the earlier audio it’s pretty apparent the United flight crew was basically losing control of the cabin. The flight attendants were running that show. The United pilots, then respond by (incorrectly) pressing the Controller for a gate - That’s important to recognize the United crew was pressing the GROUND controller. Because it’s important to recognize that ground IS NOT in charge of gate assignments… so the United crew was pressing the wrong controller, which then put him (the controller) into a spot of trying to coordinate FOR THEM because apparently they don’t know how to do their jobs. The controller. Went from task heavy to what we call “task saturated.” Add that little fiasco into the truck moving slower than it should’ve been… poor radio discipline on the truck… We’re starting to create a scenario, yeah? Now finally the flight crew. Could they have gone around? Should they have gone around? Now we’re getting into Monday night quarterbacking. Yes to both… in hindsight. The reality is. The weather was low. So maybe they couldn’t visually verify that the truck had crossed. I will say, defacto; a go-around is always an option. Until It’s not. And it’s not once the reversers are out. So to be at 100kts ground speed… the reversers were out. To see what they saw, you’d have to be in the plane with them or re-create it in a sim. I will also say.. the truck. DEFINTELY SAW THE LIGHTS COMING DOWN THE RUNWAY. So, as usual. Multiple things played into it. …it’s never just one thing, right? But… There’s gonna be a lot of focus on the truck -

Spanish influencer Ada Lluch was kicked off a major morning TV show for stating uncomfortable facts about mass immigration: "90% of thefts in Barcelona are committed by foreigners." When facts enter the room, the debate ends—and they silence the messenger. Not content with ejecting her, the panel humiliated her, suggesting she needs a doctor because she's "sick" for daring to think differently. This is how mainstream left-wing media treats dissent: label, mock, and remove. No discussion, no evidence—just censorship disguised as concern. When you can't win with arguments, you win by exclusion.

Sure… Vegas is “dead.” Meanwhile, inside the Bellagio Conservatory — packed every day. Here’s the reality people don’t want to admit: Vegas didn’t die… it filtered. Post-Covid, they let anyone in just to survive. Cheap rooms, chaos, TikTok fights, people crying about $20 water in the desert. Now? That era’s over. Prices went up. Vibe cleaned up. And the people who can actually afford to be here showed back up. If you think Vegas is dead… you’re probably just not the target customer anymore. And judging by the crowds — they’re perfectly fine with that.
