Very well said !! This is free market and everyone deserves best and if they are getting it somewhere they are ok... wish them best of luck and move on.. Coming to point of ghosting i would say it depends on individuals totally just like how HR does.. My friend gave interview... cleared all rounds.. submitted all details and still HR ghosted him But what he can do apart from smile and move on to next hunt..

Offer letters are becoming salary auction tools. Candidates collect 2-3 offers and start shopping for the higher numbers. Not giving offer letters doesn’t solve the problem either. Our solution is simple: We issue provisional letters of interest without mentioning compensation details. It shows intent from our side,without creating unnecessary leverage loops. And honestly, if any candidate joining elsewhere, that’s totally fair, everyone wants to earn more Just have the common courtesy to inform the company in advance instead of ghosting them on joining day. Things can be so simple, yet they are not.

I don’t mind paying STT, LTCG, STCG, customs duty, VAT and all other kinds of taxes, no matter how high they get. I mind paying taxes because only I am paying taxes while others around me live stress-free with no pressure of tax. The samosa shop in my society pays no tax. The policeman pays no tax on the bribe he collects. Politicians and bureaucrats steal my tax-money and use it for settling their children in abroad instead of improving the country. This is why I don’t like paying my taxes. I want everyone to pay the same tax, or nobody to pay any tax. The inequality is what hurts me.

Using public transport in Indian cities is a challenge because there’s no proper way to walk to the nearest bus stop, metro station or railway station. You have to take an auto or cab just to get there first. Sidewalks don't exist in our dictionary.

Sometimes the real optimisation is not cashback… it’s time ⏳ Had to book a Tatkal ticket today. Tried Amazon Pay → page froze. Tried Indian Railway website → login loop started exactly when tickets were disappearing 😅 Finally installed the IRCTC app and booking succeeded ✔️ People talk about reward optimisation. Tatkal teaches survival optimisation 😂 When only a few seats are left, every second feels expensive.

Man, it was around 12. Something when I went there just in Nov-Deceber. Things are getting expensive for Indians, Chinese products automatically have become 16% more expensive for an average Indian traveler. I was checking the same for Japanese Yen and even they have also fallen by 13.5% when compared with Chinese yuan, so we aren't alone in this but again we are no Japan. And China is showing why its China, its currency has appreciated by 3.3% when it is conpared to Euro, and Chinese yuan has been fairly stable with US Dollar with yuan growing by 1.8% Governments have some serious job at their hand.

The Accor China plan which was costing around 14500 a year ago now costs 17300. Just 4 months ago it was costing around 16k. I don't know who to thank for such massive currency depreciation

I have a friend who works at a gold store. He comes from a very humble background. Every month, he buys just 1 gram of gold. Whenever he can, he adds a little more. He lives in a small village and travels to town every day for work. Today, he owns 136 grams of gold. His kids are bright and study in a gov school. He didn't spend time complaining about where he started. He just kept moving forward, one gram at a time. That mindset is deeply inspiring. 💯

Most people think CC geeks spend extra to earn reward points. Reality? We just redirect the spends we were already going to do… onto credit cards. 💳 Groceries, Bills, Travel, Shopping etc.. Same expenses. Different payment rail. The goal isn’t: “Spend more to earn points.” It’s: “Earn something back on money already leaving your pocket.” If someone overspends for points, that’s a spending problem — not a credit card problem. But anyway… “Credit cards are bad.” 😄

Credit Card Reality Check - Post #2 The Mayura RuPay Illusion: A Masterclass in Misleading Marketing I met a friend recently who was excited about his IDFC FIRST Mayura Credit Card. His Relationship Manager (RM) had just told him he could get a RuPay variant of the Mayura that has the exact same rewards. I told him Mayura doesn't exist on RuPay, But he didn’t believe me. We opened the IDFC app. In the credit card section, there was a big shiny button "Activate UPI" He clicked. A card image appeared: ✅ Mayura Logo (Top Left) ✅ RuPay Logo (Bottom Right) ✅ Premium Aesthetic ✅ Clearly mentioned below it "Activate UPI on your Mayura Credit Card" It looked official. But then, I told him to stop. Check the T&C. Hidden in the very first point of the fine print was the truth: "I confirm that I have applied for the new First Digital RuPay Credit Card." The Game: IDFC isn't giving you a RuPay Mayura. They are issuing a basic "First Digital" card and skinning it with a Mayura logo because it shares your Mayura credit limit. The Math (The real sting):Let's look at a standard ₹1,000 spend: 1️⃣ On the actual Mayura (Visa): It earns 5X rewards (Base). Total: 33.33 points. Value: ₹16.67 (at ₹0.50/pt for travel). 2️⃣ On the First Digital RuPay (UPI): For spends <₹2k, it earns only 1X rewards. Total: 6.67 points. Value: ₹3.33 (at ₹0.50/pt for travel). That is a 5X difference in earnings. The bank markets it as a Mayura RuPay, but on daily UPI spends, you’re losing 80% of your reward value compared to using the physical card. Moral of the story: Don't trust the logo on the app screen. Read the T&C.
