It wasn’t just because of Aj or Peterson. If you think the Jazz truly tied to win every game how many do you think they’d win? Maybe 30-40 games? Why would they do that, lose their pick this year, just to lose in the first round? It makes no sense AT ALL. It’s not just about W/L. It’s about building the team, I mean look at 2024 there were still plenty of teams ranking when the draft class was mid. Teams are just smarter now and see a call path for their team.
