@ShyGuy058 @AKScans I would not give it a 10 personally, what reviewers give it could be fake or not I dont care much I have played black mirror interactive movie and you usually just choose from different choices that impact the story. This is no doubt more interaction with wario like mini games

@t3snake3 @AKScans Yes and netflix has interactive movies, the black mirror movie has more interaction than this game. The fact it has near perfect 10's across the board alone is a glaring plant. Steam has over 50% players to reviews right now, that doesnt happen, let's be realistic.

tell me how an ~indy game~ that dropped out of nowhere, got perfect journo scores and can not only afford a fully licensed soundtrack but also fancy goodie sets for redditor "content creators" is anything but an industry plant

@ShyGuy058 @AKScans Yes fair. I am playing through it since its on game pass. I actually like short games. Also it is fine for interactive movies to exist. There are literally 100s to 1000s of traditional games that release every month, and this doesnt have to be that

@t3snake3 @AKScans Yeah visually it looks nice... this feels like its supposed to be a Netflix movie not a game, maybe im just weird but im not spending nearly $20 for a game that will at best give me 3 hours of entertainment, then we have perfect 10's from "too much water" IGN, feels planted.

There are always people curious about "how things work" or "how things were built" or came to be, especially if it's made accessible to them. There's really a lot of room for demystifying systems programming and making it make sense to people. The top X of Y are probably not really even dead today. People claim whatever online, and if things are not working for them they might blame it on "the algorithm" or "AI" while first and foremost you need to do things that enough people need and care about. I wish you the best with your work, you seem off to a great start. You may not need it but if you or anyone in your space would like to talk about youtube or something, I'm happy to share what I know.

I got a doomer video recommended on YouTube, saying that programming tutorials are over and nobody watches them anymore. He could not be any more wrong. "Top 10 React hooks of 2026" type of tutorials are dead, this is true. But people are hungry for material that goes back to basics, back to the machine. My channel is a big proof of this. Now is a great time to make actual meaningful programming content.

@PriyanshuP1405 I also am going through crafting interpreters and just the first recursive descent parser is really clever. I am implementing it in go. For the second half of the book, the implementation is already in c so I might try some other language.

Compiler roles in itself is a whole different deep niche. I had recently started to work on the crafting interpreters implementation of interpreter in C and it turned out to be the most humbling experience I had. The amount of peculiarity, low level bytes handling and ensuring how it's parsed, compiled, exception handling and executed perfectly is something which is more than just a project.

@trashdema @HowLongToBeat I dont want more hours in a game. Maybe games like baldurs gate 3 and elden ring deserve being 100 hours but I dont want some 1 trick game to pad boring quests to make it 100 hours (ubisoft). I also would not pay 80 but play it on game pass or wait for sale.

After a few days of using iOS 26, I think this is the future direction of OS design. Apple has once again met the future. I like this advanced design so much. Although there are still some readability issues, when you get used to the liquid glass, looking back at other UIs, they seem so boring and simple, without gloss, thickness, or three-dimensionality. I will buy an iPhone 17 Pro for this liquid glass.
