@tada_hts @stewartlynch8 I don't use Rider so to me 10xeditor is a 10/10 compared to visual studio. I'm using it for very large c++ project and it's perfect. I'm also using it for small hobby assembly projects, ALT-SHIFT-S test immediate search is a banger!

The 10xeditor of @stewartlynch8 is so god damn fast, In terms of feature, it's like 7/10 compare to Rider but, the 10/10 speed makes up for it. I use it for Unreal, highly recommend yall give it a shot. 10xeditor.com

I just open the project with the sln file and it just works. In term of Unreal specific, the autocomplete is not as good, as in Jetbrain has better result on top with fewer inputs. No autocomplete for UPROPERTY, UFUNCTION, etc… there’s a community plugin for that but it’s terrible. No live reload from the ide, but you can just live reload from the ue editor itself. No double click blueprint node and automatically jump to source file. But those are like mild annoyances to me, I cannot stand the sluggish of Jetbrain anymore…

@TheGingerBill Isn’t more about communicating breaking changes in API? Like, minor version: new features, apis are the same, major: some breaking changes, careful if you want to update.

Semantic Versioning is a myth. People rely on things you do not consider features—especially bugs—things can be break even between patches, let alone minor versions. The only true version "number" is either the specific build or just a date. Anything else is just marketing.

As a solo dev, I’ve built this game with passion, stress, and an unhealthy amount of coffee and alcohol. The process is tough, sure. But at least there’s progress I can see. Something real. Something moving forward. But marketing? That’s the real boss fight. You can try a hundred times and still feel invisible. Even now, I have no idea what I’m doing. But I know I’m not the only one.
