People aren’t gonna stop buying sealed Pokemon resale.
They will just be forced to use places like eBay, Mercarix, fb marketplace where BUYERS PAY MORE due to taxes and fees.
Card shows are the better alternative where you can haggle and trade your own collection to lower your overall costs. You save money on taxes and vendors do 10-15% discounts off market frequently.
This policing of grown consenting adults and what they do with their money actually hurts the people who it’s meant to protect, even if they can’t understand that themselves.

Serious question: is it even worth scalping Pokemon cards? We see all these fights just to get a few packs and I have to wonder how profitable is it anyway for the average person? Why not just get an actual job instead?

@mikejaydj @PeakHobby I went to this show and all sealed was significantly over market value, buying online is a cheaper.
Not sure how it is in other parts of the world but in Maryland the scalping situation is so bad and they can get away with those prices

@PeakHobby Such a bad change. So now they cant get new product that is always sold out at shows and will have to wait a couple of days and probably pay more thru online lol

@PeakHobby They are doing this for buyers though not vendors. Vendors are the ones buying the tables without them you have no show. Like I said before I dont go to shoes so o could be wrong but I feel this is just gonna piss off vebdirs and they go elsewhere. I know not all vendors are same

But I've seen decent sized vendors say they are specifically seeking out this show to vend so I think the attention this received will attract a lot of people who want to be a part of it. But we'll have to see this will be hella interesting

@PokeHEX5555 Let the retards figure out how capitalism works the hard way. When less vendors buy spaces, theres less money to rent the spaces and profit. Which means less money for staff. Also means less attendance if its more empty of vendors and attendees.

@PokeTCGAlerts What an absolute joke lol. People pay the event coordinators to set up a table. The coordinators are already paid. Why should they control what is sold and for how much at their shows? Buyers can simply walk away if they don’t wanna buy the product.

This is interesting. A recent card show had many vendors selling products like Ascended Heroes and currently printed items at over MSRP. So the coordinator is planning to ban vendors from selling products currently being sold at retailers, hoping to deter scalpers from simply buying out products just to resell them at the card shows they coordinate. What do you all think about this? W move or L move?

@PokeTCGAlerts This was my local card show, took my 7yr old and 3 yr old. My son wanted some sealed so we looked a d looked and looked. Everything was so overpriced we went home empty handed. I'd rather pay the local fb crackhead then these guys at the card show. Excellent show besides the fact
