@tardboy44 @MikeMogr If you worked at any place that does asset management you would know that they follow the market holiday calendar and the office would be closed. Work remote kind of day if you wanted to get work done

@tomieinlove Being anti-AI is spiritually progressive because it’s fucking retarded
English

At its core, being anti-AI is far more a conservative position than a progressive one.

@SeverioColin @BravesStash @daltine_cracker People aren’t super price sensitive to gasoline ≠ people don’t trade on rising oil prices by getting gasoline right when you hear news before it’s priced in. Every time there’s a macro shock to oil I fill up that day. Saves me a couple of bucks every time. This is really simple
English

@tardboy44 @BravesStash @daltine_cracker Gasoline doesn’t experience dramatic demand spikes in relation to price. Regardless of the price, life has to drive on. And people don’t stockpile fuel in anticipation of price hikes.
No matter what, I use basically the same amount of fuel. As does everyone else.
English

The damn gas stations need to fix their prices as quick as they ran them up.

JUST IN: Oil plunges to $77 per barrel.
English

@PowerstrokeChad The bootlicker thing is so astroturfed. Came out of fucking nowhere
English

@SeverioColin @BravesStash @daltine_cracker It’s not “I anticipate prices going up so I’m going to raise prices,” this is the aggregation of millions of people around the country (and ppl trading futures) reacting to the news they hear about oil prices and buying gasoline. Invisible hand of the market.
English

@SeverioColin @BravesStash @daltine_cracker You fundamentally misunderstand the price increase. This is Econ 101 shifts in the demand curve - if you think the price of a car is going to go up soon and you need a car, you go buy the car now while it’s cheap. This causes prices to go up now, not later. Same with gas.
English

@SeverioColin @BravesStash @daltine_cracker Correct that’s basic supply and demand. There’s nothing to complain about, it’s not a greed thing
English

@tardboy44 @BravesStash @daltine_cracker I understand the concept behind the hike. But you said it’s an inventory issue for why they can’t reduce the price. But it’s not an inventory issue for raising the prices on fuel they’ve already bought at a lower rate.
They’re getting the best of both worlds.
English

@burgersballs_ @BravesStash @daltine_cracker I’m not talking about just the gas in the ground at the gas station. Where do you think the trucks that come and fill the stations get their gas? The storage facilities they get it from have to buy and sell gasoline just like the stations
English

@tardboy44 @BravesStash @daltine_cracker With how many mfs buy gas the amount of time it takes to cycle thru, that doesnt sound right
English

@SeverioColin @BravesStash @daltine_cracker Yes but that’s just an Econ 101 concept. If you get news (like war in Iran) and think prices are going to go up, you would go and buy gas before it goes up. Everyone would do this, so supply/demand mechanics push prices up until they are at what you expect them to be with news
English

@tardboy44 @BravesStash @daltine_cracker Except they raise the price on the gas they bought at a cheaper rate as well if the price of oil goes up. It’s not an “inventory” issue at that point.
English

@BravesStash @daltine_cracker Or, idk, they don’t want to sell the gas they bought at a loss and they need to cycle through the inventory of local suppliers? Damn you guys are retarded
English

@daltine_cracker It's almost like it's gouging and has nothing to do with the cost of oil
English

@hellspatisserie The Vanderbilts and Carnegies of the old world are absolutely richer than the tech billionaires on a cash basis. Tech billionaire wealth is not liquid. These are such simple concepts
English

I think it’s rather interesting that despite being far wealthier in absolute terms than a Vanderbilt or Carnegie or Stanford, and being directly positioned in an industry that could benefit from it, no tech elite has ever founded a university, and few have even given endowments

@spookysecretguy @artMISSIONARY @WWUTTcom If you’re not willing to accept there’s more to gender than just procreation idk what to tell you
English

According to Mormon teaching, Elohim (God the Father) had sex twice to produce Jehovah (God the Son).
First, he had sex with Heavenly Mother to produce Jehovah with a spirit body. Then he had sex with Mary to give Jehovah a human body named Jesus.
Sheer anti-biblical heresy.

Jesus Christ is literally the Son of the only true God according to the Bible.
English

@spookysecretguy @artMISSIONARY @WWUTTcom Do you really think the only reason the sexes are distinct is for sexual intercourse?
English

@artMISSIONARY @tardboy44 @WWUTTcom Why would gender be critical in the eternities, where the church teaches offspring occurs, if gender didn't play a role?
English
