@G27Status they just didn’t really bring out content for it. There’s no wonder the player base is dropped off. They may even just put out old maps. It really just shows that because they’re trying to sell they didn’t give them resources to try and maintain or grow.

There are some other key points worth considering: - EA is trying to close a deal to sell off their company and they needed to shed billions of dollars. It's not an exciting "why" to all of this, but most likely the reason they're doing this. - In fairness, Battlefield 6 has lost a lot of its player base. Started at 700K+ peak and is currently hitting ~70K for its 24 hour peak on Steam. Did they count on more people hanging around long term or were the sales enough? - EA wanted 100 million players. We've seen extremely unrealistic expectations hurt games and this could be another case of that.

Let's go down the stats: - Best selling game of 2025 (estimated 20 million copies sold) - Biggest launch in franchise history with 7 million copies sold in 3 days - Beat its direct competitor in Call Of Duty which is something that's practically unheard of nowadays outside of Hogwarts Legacy doing its thing in 2023 And there's layoffs... of any kind...? Bleak, man.
