@elonmusk Lauterbrunnen is beautiful. Been there. The Cowbell we ring for big deals @threatstop was bought there.

@pmarca The thing people miss is that AI is different from Human Intelligence. It is very good at things we are horrible at, and mostly dislike doing. It, on the other hand, doesn't mind repetition (as just one of those things). So, the way is for us to go together.

@MatrixMysteries If she starved for a while, that would likely be good for her health.

@AntiWokeMemes The Taco Bell "Drop the chalupa" Chihuahua. Its goal is reachable (AOC and her ilk would be like a dog that caught the car if they actually had power), benefits the one asking (whereas AOC's policies actually hurt those that vote for her); and positive.

@robertauger @DanielMiessler My teenage son says "it's AI" for anything he thinks is fake, or generally crap.
English

@DanielMiessler Instead of saying “damn teenagers!” Now we’re saying “damn AI!” ;)
English

This seems bad.
Local to root on most Linux distros.

English

@xtremesecurity @DanielMiessler They all pop. The published RHEL9 sploit didn't work on one distro, we were able to get our in house AI to modify the bytecode in 5 minutes and it worked.
English

@DanielMiessler The key is "local". So you have to actually log in as some account. So, enforce login scope, rotate SSH keys, restrict and deprecate creds with remote, lock down remote to local subnets, etc.

@DanielMiessler As for the "Catholic Church" stuff, I grew up in Ireland when they were in charge. The new EU Woke crowd are every bit as intolerant and forcing conformity. Power seeks to control.
English

It’s weird how so many of them have fallen from interest since AI, and now they’re super nice and approachable.
But like Hitchens said about the Catholic Church,
“We remember what you were like when you were in charge.”

Just constantly reminded every time I meet infosec "rockstars" how fucking shitty they are as people in real life. Met plenty who are humble and great but man the sheer number in the other camp never ceases to amaze me
English

@DanielMiessler Pretty much everyone I know who has actual real chops in infosec is really nice and approachable. We have labored for decades as Cassandras. @johullrich @marcussac @gadievron @csima @JoelEsler I could keep tagging, but I would exceed tweet limit,

Racial gerrymanders (all gerrymanders in fact) is the opposite of Democracy. The difference between political gerrymanders and racial ones is that the latter are unconstitutional. Both types distort representation and increase extremism. Exhibit A is CA (my state), where we have one party government of, by, and for government unions and far left loons.
English

The very foundation of the United States is our commitment to democracy. Today, the current Supreme Court majority voted against that, ultimately saying that some voters matter more than others.
California will continue to fight for our democracy, for the American people, and the values of the Voting Rights Act.

@rseroter We've been speeding up the other parts too, and have been doing various forms of ML for over a decade. Modern AI just makes all of it faster, and easier to instrument.
English

AI makes the other parts of the loop faster too. It enables processing large amounts of information (observe), making sense of it through correlation and analysis (orient), evaluating courses of action (decide). The act part actually is the one least enabled by AI. That has been automated for a while. We've been doing it across more and more of the network at @threatstop for 17 years.
English

Just because AI makes the "act" stage easy to execute, doesn't mean we should skip the Observe-Orient-Decide stages of the OODA loop. In fact, you're making a mistake if you do.

@TaraBull Unfunny pompous asshat. Who actually watches his unimaginative boring repetitive dreck?
English

@anton_chuvakin Why? The SOC has been a complete waste of money. It is completely ineffective at protecting anything.
English

If you had a magic wand, what is your ideal pricing for "AI SOC" (aka AI/agent SOC triage tool) #question
English

@anton_chuvakin Free. Seriously. The value of the SOC is actually zero, whether AI or not. It is after the fact. A total waste of money. Just grandstanding by people proving how smart they are while admiring the problem.
English

@SteveLovesAmmo Remember that the attendees paid $350/ticket. So she likely paid a lot more than the wine was worth.
English

@SenSchumer You don't think your hyperbole about him being a "threat to our democracy" has anything to do with this?
Since Kennedy (and it was the communists who wanted him gone), it is Republican Presidents who have endured assasination attempts, including Reagan, at the same Hilton.
