Trying to work on outlining my term paper today and realized a quote in one book was quoting from another book (Calvin’s Institutes) which I have in the Banner of Truth translation. Went to go find in my edition but couldn’t figure out where the section was because it’s not the same as the one quoted from. Spent WAY too much time in Logos using a translation that differs from the author in my first book and then trying to compare it to my Banner of Truth copy so I could quote it from there. Then realized the Banner of Truth copy didn’t have that quote, most likely because the translation is based on an earlier (1541) edition. Meaning that quote was probably from a later, expanded edition. All that is to say, I’m a dork and shouldn’t have spent that much time hunting down a quote I could have pulled either from my first book (“as quoted in…”) or used my Logos edition. Now I need to get back to outlining because I did not make nearly enough progress as I intended. Lesson learned. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Thankful no one was killed in DC last night. According to reporting, the shooter thanked his church community in his manifesto explaining his actions. Something's seriously wrong when a frequent church attender can justify assassination as a tool for justice.

So grateful for YouTube repair videos. My driver’s side internal door handle just snapped something internally and I can’t open the door from the inside. Thanks to YouTube, I was able to disassemble the inside of the door, identify the problem, and order a new handle. Within a couple days, it should be working just fine again. Thank you, Lord.
