Okay lol. It has nothing to do with politics or racism, it’s as simple as if something is true to source material or not. You can try to deny those facts all you want, but Snape is clearly and specifically described in the books, and it’s not black.
Some seem to care more about the source material more than others, while some like yourself seem to not care at all, and thats fine. You’re more for an adaptation rather than a book accurate depiction, that’s also fine.
It’s not your story, it’s everyone’s story.

I think people are confusing criticism with cancellation
There’s no reality where this show doesn’t have huge viewership so saying it’s going to fail is just flat out wrong
However, people in mass are still criticizing the needless race swap and rightfully so

I plan to, I re-listen to the audiobooks every once in a while. The show is a hard pass for me as I’m sure it will be for many others.
