All these new British trains are horrifically uncomfortable. We’ve gone backwards for comfort as with so much else. Not even cheap.

@GWRHelp Whoever designed these new trains on the slow route to Paddington had no clue. The seats are as hard as ironing boards, the tables are too low for the seats, and I have a back and neck ache before even setting off. Unbelievably poor.

Two Torah scrolls have been stolen from a synagogue in Manchester.
CCTV footage from last Friday found three men enter the Beis HaMedrash Torah Etz Chaim in Salford and leave with a large safe containing the stolen scrolls.
The suspects also reportedly caused damages to the building’s floor and walls.
An appeal has now been issued for the return of the scrolls, which are between 50-100 years old and hold significant religious and sentimental value for the congregation, in addition to their financial value.
Further details are not clear at this stage, but this is a shocking sacrilege. When it comes to how British Jews are treated nowadays, nothing is sacred.

All children should have a full hour of choral singing Monday to Friday in primary and secondary schools. It helps improve breathing and definitely makes people feel a part of a community.

@afneil It's OK - we knew it was a typo. Keep up the great work on Defence, Andrew. FYI: The T31 has the potential to be an outstanding Royal Navy frigate (although it does needs to be up-armed) - and an export success, with the design already sold to Poland & Indonesia.
