Possibly one of the most impressive Safari bugs I’ve run into lately: Going back (with a swipe) in *any* React app that uses Navigation API freezes the page for three seconds. What’s fun is the main thread is not frozen, only the rendered page is.

@Droppyformac yep this already works! it follows the active default output, so when I connect my airpods it picks up their last volume, and when I disconnect them it switches back to the previous level, need to add diff icons for speaker and airpods though

@tejxv Putting the HUD back near the center makes sense on a large display. Are you tracking the active audio output too, so the volume icon and level stay correct when someone switches devices?

I built my first macOS app Zuno with GPT5.6! It brings back the volume and brightness HUD I preferred before macOS Tahoe's abomination, so I can adjust them without constantly looking up at the top right corner of my huge monitor. a small change, but it keeps me focused. 🔍

Soon you’ll be able to save design inspiration from X directly into GatherOS with a simple bookmark. Skipped X’s expensive API entirely. Built a Chrome extension that watches for bookmarks and sends them straight to the app instantly.
