@CharlieYouakim @richardbranson You two should talk! What an incredible conversation that would make! @MohnishPabrai @CharlieYouakim

Another great founder story. 👏👏👏 @richardbranson

@CedarStResearch @IejLake Most of the users use Pay-in-4 without any interest and use BNPL as a budgeting tool. If users don't pay on time they are banned from the app which is completely different dynamic from CC.
Lately BNPL apps also serve as a discovery channel for good deals and discounts.

I don’t mind subprime financing for a vehicle as for many Americans that’s their only way to get to work so it’s critical they be able to finance a car even at incredibly high interest rates.
I don’t like BNPL because it’s tied to the lowest end of discretionary spending and no one should be financing a TV etc… at a 49% APR. I also don’t love hearing about folks financing their groceries at these insane APR’s because it encourages them to buy more food than they probably need and it’s a great system for keeping our poor poor. Unfortunately Trump kicked the CFPB in the nuts otherwise I think a lot of these companies would be hit with predatory lending behavior.
Last tid bit, but pure cash flow credit underwriting rather than some traditional methods that still work IMO will backfire over the cycle.

BNPL will account for 30% of all credit driven card purchases by 2035. There are 148 credit card issuers in the US and ~ 6 BNPL "issuers". That's why there is so much excitement about @Affirm @sezzleinc @AfterpayUSA and @Klarna

@targetedcap1 @HeikoBusiness When it was clear they could not comply with listing reqs I sold majority (should have sold all) before delisting news came out. Didn't like how process was communicated. Thesis did not change - bet on management, just did not buy back

@_Biotech_iQ "As of November 1, 2024, the registrant had 39,388,443 shares of Common Stock" plus the number from screenshot. Roughly 43-44m.

$TELA (L) Tela Bio looks like they might finally be hitting their inflection point. Growth is accelerating, OpEx has stabilized, CFO is improving, and they should be able to reach profitability with current cash resources after the recent public offering. Here's a screenshot taken from my iQ Cheat Sheet for TELA:

@templargin Are u still bullish on that? I mean delisting hit hard. However I like ur ideas in your thesis. Mgmt looking for break-even early 2025.

@Aureliusltd28 Curious on what exactly you mean by this. Down on slightly higher than average volume and no real news.

@Adrian_Smith12 @HowardJMarriott @Valarian11 If buyback is announced stock goes up to $6-7 in one day.
English

@HowardJMarriott @Valarian11 Everything is primed, but it’s all on Harry to make the right moves.
I want a $40m buy back (including warrants), purchase of 4-5 more ships and a commitment to no additional dilution for at least 12-18 months.
These three things happen, the stock goes to $8-10 in a few months.
English

My goodness. $IMPP is a highly profitable Net Net. Aside from a global Black Swan event(in which the size, composition and construction of your portfolio will probably be the least of your worries) I see a wide margin of safety here. #shipping

@Adrian_Smith12 If he finds a way to screw shareholders without screwing himself as a 40% owner I will applaud him.
