Removing TPS status for Haitians living in the United States would cost 350,000 workers their ability to work at a time when we’re already facing serious workforce shortages. I’ve heard from healthcare providers and business leaders across Nebraska, including @OmahaChamber, who are concerned about the impact this would have on patient care and our economy. I don’t see the goodness of deporting people who are here legally, working, and contributing to our country.

Short for "Person Other than Grunt."
A friendly (or not-so-friendly) label for anyone who isn't out in the mud with the infantry (think desk warriors, supply folks, or anyone whose biggest enemy is paperwork instead of actual bad guys.)
Like when the infantry guys are humping rucks through the rain and spot the admin team sipping coffee in the air-conditioned tent: “Must be nice being a POG!”
Basically: rear-echelon comfort with a side of gentle ribbing.

Not a big fan of using dogs to hunt, but even less of a fan of the federal government imposing its morality on something like this, which should be decided locally or by state.

Buried inside the Farm Bill is an amendment backed by 29 members of Congress that would effectively ban hunting with dogs nationwide. No hounds for bear, no rabbit dogs, no coonhunting, no field trials. It was pushed through on a voice vote, disguised as an anti-greyhound racing bill while the real impact on hunting was barely discussed. This is a direct attack on one of the oldest hunting traditions in America. We need to stop it now. Call your representatives and demand this amendment be removed from the Farm Bill. @olov244 @pettybeezing @RickD_GK Yea, because dogs can't smell or hear. Dogs are territorial, and bark when someone is encroaching, and by just walking away you have confirmed that it is their territory. Make friends with them, then they get excited to see you
