I really hope I'm misunderstanding Rich here because if he's saying "We were excited and liked it, but seeing how everyone hates it, I wish we waited so we could have hated it too" is uh...not a very good look and kinda tarnishes almost everything else they've done previously?

@BlueThunderReal Pay $70 to sift through a game you “resented”? Your points include (but not limited to) “controls, systems, and clunkiness” another review said it didn’t have “a deep engaging story line, interesting characters, and impactful moments”. Stop making fetch happen.

My thoughts after 70+ hours of Crimson Desert. I knew right away that journalists would not rate this game as high as it deserves. If you're given limited time and need to power through a game like this to review it for your boss, you will resent it. In fact, I resented it after the first couple hours. But once I began to understand the systems, adjust to the controls and get a bit more comfortable with the game, it quickly became something I could not put down. I was thinking about Crimson Desert 24/7. Truthfully, the only real pain points of this game are the controls and systems and occasional clunkiness. But once you get some hours in, all of that goes away and you're left with a truly remarkable experience. No game before this has matched this level of wonder and exploration and this level of pure scale, while also simply being FUN to play. At first I thought that there was no way that they could cram all of these systems and mechanics into one game and make it feel satisfying and cohesive, but they somehow pulled it off. Take your time with Crimson Desert, be patient and intentional with your time with the game, and you'll be rewarded handsomely. 🌩️

@Zuby_Tech Only partially true. “Bug Hill” dropped FPS to the high 30s. It’s currently using PSSR 1, not 2 which doesn’t have the best quality.

@ilyamiskov I had the 15/16 since 2015. I recently Swapped from the 16 to the 14 a few months ago. Couldn’t be happier. Didn’t look back. In fact. I use more cause it’s easier to take out and use.

As someone who's been using a 16" M1 Max Macbook Pro, I'm thinking about going with the 14" model next year. Any serious drawbacks to the 14" besides the smaller screen size? Is the Max chip too much to handle for the 14"? Curious to hear about your experience guys.
