It's old school like me. I'm going to enjoy every mile behind the wheel of this Dodge Durango 392 for the next 7 days.

2006 Mercedes-Benz S500L 5.5 V8 Anyone fancy a project? 😅 Long story short - This car has been owned by Lydd Private Airport for the past 11 years, for the first 6 it was used purely to go between Kent-London-Kent for the owners of the Airport but for the 5yrs it’s basically been stored in the hangar you can see if the photos. Unfortunately during this time it seems all of the paperwork including Service History invoices and the V5 have been lost. Rear Air drops when not used but I’m told comes straight back up again when started but it’s apparently not going into gear for some reason. In my experience chances are this all low voltage/battery related and very unlikely to be the 7G gearbox at this mileage but it’s still a risk. GL55 EUD Approx 32,000 miles Currently no MOT, has passed all 16x since new 1x Key Great Spec: Travertine Beige Metallic Nappa Leather Heated/Cooled/Massage Front & Rear Seats Distronic Adaptive Cruise Control Panoramic Sunroof Harman/Kardon Sound Car is based at Lydd, Kent

@Timoldland its how chery plays the game, they will make a whole brand or a new car just to deliberately cannibalize it, making their other models look to be of better value, take a look at the cars they have released, reduced the price of, and discontinued in the Indonesian market.

So by the end of the year there’ll be Omoda, Jaecoo, Chery and Lepas all launched in the UK, with a load of cars that all cost roughly the same and overlap, do the same thing etc. The Chinese model is to just swamp the market and you know what? It’s starting to work. Average Joe doesn’t give the tiniest of shits about what their car is, they just want cheap monthlies, a factory warranty and cheap running costs. Western car companies were warned about the Japanese manufacturers in the 70’s, ignored it and had their pants taken down. Then in the 90’s they were warned about the Korean brands and ignored it, once again being rinsed by them. And now it’s happening again with the Chinese brands and too late they’re realising they fucked up. One of the big Western car companies will fall pretty soon and it’ll be nobodies fault but their own.

As someone whose iPhone just upgraded to 26 (I kept disagreeing to the ToS so it wouldn’t upgrade) I can categorically say I DO NOT NEED ANYMORE NEW FEATURES. Feels like iOS has now gone over a tipping point and is just too cluttered. I’m constantly finding new shit I need to turn off.
Vivian@suchnerve

I have been screaming for this for YEARS. I tell anyone who will listen: “The entire software development industry needs to go one full year without adding ANY new features, and dedicating 100% of its resources to bug fixes & optimizations.”

I've spent the last week driving the new 2026 Subaru Outback Wilderness, and I'm about to publish my review. Here are the notes. Once you get past the front end and some of the cartoonish styling, this is a genuinely good car. I know Subaru calls this an SUV now, but it's still as close to a wagon you can buy without going the premium route. It's only 0.4" longer, 1.2" wider, and 1.4" taller than the outgoing model. That additional height provides additional shoulder room, headroom, and cargo space. Subaru has done an excellent job of listening to customer feedback and has made every aspect of this car even more practical and functional than before. It drives very well, CVT complaints notwithstanding. Really wish they'd use a traditional automatic, but so it goes. The styling never fully grew on me, but the rest of the car absolutely did. Would definitely recommend the new Outback Wilderness to folks looking for an anti-SUV SUV.

@thecomputerclan The neo comes with 8gb of ram, the wheels would be more useful in this day and age, the neo should have come standard with 8 PB of ram instead.

One of the most disgusting upgrades I’ve seen all day. Why would anyone convert a 2002 S-Class into a 2023 model? 🤦‍♂️ It just doesn’t make sense.

In all my years of owning German cars I had no idea until today this was a thing. Apparently all German cars have a setting that will dimly illuminate the tail and front driving light to give the car visibility while parked. In my car, key out, car off, just use the left or right turn stalk to illuminate that side of the car. Neat! 📸

my friend is in uni and wants a MacBook Neo because google docs is miserable on the iPad they use primarily for written notes, and it’s not lost on me that google very likely nerfed google docs on iPad so it wouldn’t compete with chromebooks at that sub-$500 price range

I’d argue that most of, if not all the shortcomings of the Neo won’t matter at all to students (the intended demographic). It’ll handle web browsing, watching videos and writing documents. That’s all a lot of students will use it for. Plus it’s cheaper if you use the Apple Education store (they rarely check if you’re actually a student🤫).

This is the MacBook Neo - just $599 - 13” screen - A18 Pro Chip - 1080p webcam - 16h battery life - Silver, Indigo, Blush, & Citrus

When I first heard the $599 A18 MacBook rumors: "No way! $599 with an A18? Insane value! It'll cannibalize Air buyers! What could they even cut? How could Apple mess this up?" Well, Apple pulled it off. They put in a ridiculously tiny 36.5Wh battery, giving it the worst battery life in Apple Silicon history despite the A18. They also defied expectations that Apple Intelligence meant no more 8GB RAM—they actually kept it 8GB AND blocked CTO upgrades. Result? Apple found a new market: people who don't care about RAM or battery specs but just want a $599 MacBook. Minimal hit to Air sales while capturing the budget market. Brilliant Apple😭👏👏👏
