Former English referee Mark Clattenburg has proposed a change to eliminate player time wasting: "Football is an entertainment sport, so we need as much playing time as possible. The first time I refereed in the Champions League, only 40 minutes of the 90 were actually played. The two things I want to happen are that the referee has the power, instead of showing a yellow card to a player wasting time, to reverse the decision. If the player is instructed to take a throw-in and delays it, the throw should immediately go to the opposing team from that spot. Often, players go to the sideline, bounce the ball, move it forward a long distance, wait for the referee to tell them to return to the original position, wait a little longer, are booked, and the referee writes down the sanction. Then, after about 10 more seconds, they take the throw-in. The player wins. They steal a minute doing that. Instead, if we had the option to reverse the sanction, without booking them, this wouldn’t happen. The other idea is the same but for goal kicks and corner kicks. If the attacker delays on purpose, the sanction is reversed, and they lose the corner, which becomes a goal kick. If the goalkeeper does the same, they go from having defensive control to conceding a corner."

Today, November 13th 1989, I joined the @BritishArmy as a @Official_REME Recovery Mechanic. I wasn’t the sharpest tool in the box, but after 5 tours and many exercises, I grew up to be a half decent bloke. 36yrs later, I’m still in the mob, but now a plastic WAFU with the @RoyalNavy and still going strong. Nothing seems to rile Nigel Farage up quite like being asked about his tax affairs. He's been happy to talk about others, but can't stand being asked about his own. What has he got to hide?

Nigel Farage repeatedly misled the public by claiming he bought a house in his constituency. Today he admitted it wasn’t true. Given he's had a lot to say on tax this week, it's time he put the full facts on the table over this housing arrangement. It reeks of double standards and hypocrisy.

Not only is it possible but it's simply a question of government policy (in fairness to Labour they are doing quite a lot, just not enough and not at the speed they could be doing it) But, and I say this politely. Reform UK are not your friends. By wanting to take us out of the European Convention of Human Rights and repeal the Human Rights Act, they're taking away the very institutions that helped shape gay rights in our country and allowed you not only to flourish, but simply have the right to live your life however you wish - the moment those protections and rights are lost, society suffers There's nothing worse than getting angry and upset at incorrect things e.g. the four star hotel trope often levied by the far right Instead, become better informed, so you can get angry and upset at the actual things that are wrong with the system, and help campaign to change them
