@maximumwelfare I mean sure but we could save a lot of time and money by just giving the ombudsman investigator the authority to issue orders instead of recommendations, and the sole downside would be a small number of senior bureaucrats wouldn't be able to postpone embarassment as long.

The Commonwealth Ombudsman should refer dealings between DEWR, the Albanese Government and the employment services lobby in 2022 to the NACC.
These providers donate money they receive to political parties. Advocates identified these problems on day 1, were ignored and lied to.

The fact that something that has ingested the entirety of human literature can't figure out how to generalize multiplication past 13 digits is actually a sign of the fact that it has no understanding of what a multiplication algorithm is.

For those curious about how o3-mini performs on multi-digit multiplication, here's the result. It does much better than o1 but still struggles past 13×13. (Same evaluation setup as before, but with 40 test examples per cell.)

@TACJ you are going back and forth between regulations and outcomes. the regulation is the protection of biodiversity. the bat tunnel is one outcome suggested by engineers as the optimal solution given the constraints. which one of these do you have a problem with?

Good engineering design involves breaking things down into smaller components or modules, each with a specific purpose, and keeping them loosely coupled with each other. Creating a universal, abstract “rule” is like creating a global variable, and using lots of GOTO statements.

@hymmerinc @hamhammer27 It's the benefit side that's low: the marginal improvement from shifting to skybus to rail isn't *gigantic*, and the number of passengers is also lower than. Airport rail really needs to be done as a small part of bigger projects, which was possible in Bris and Syd but...
