Non stick pan from @lecreuset with a lifetime guarantee, when I highlighted the issue of the pan degrading I had no response from the customer support team. Very poor customer service for a company marketing its products with a so called ‘lifetime guarantee’.

The fundamental and proven advantages of the 81mm mortar are its transportability, responsiveness, and reliability. Larger calibres and vehicle mounting diminishes all three. Be careful about wishing it away

I payed for accommodation for 17 years, this was an accepted part of it (over 37) I suppose you think there should be no perks to committing to service. I have been married for most of that time too. All this is is an erosion of what I signed up to.

@thefirstrb @matelotphil @haynesdeborah Evens the field....which means it evens it. So that's for everyone? Army have slightly different rules so can't comment explicitly. Don't see why it's fair that some don't pay because they happen to be married. (I'm married and currently don't pay, but will do).

@dicko120 @matelotphil @haynesdeborah The offset isnt even half my SLA. I am just over 37 (Army) and have weekly commuted for 6 yrs. Was quite nice to get into the bracket of not having to pay both a mortgage and for SLA. Now (with 125 a month) I still pay 1900 a year for a room at work. Evens the field for who?

@matelotphil @haynesdeborah There's a £125 a month allowance to reclaim to offset the cost. So may not cover all of SLA charge dependent on grading, but likely most. There are unmarried pers in SLA who have their own home but have to pay for SLA so this evens the field.

A @RoyalNavy couple say they were plunged into debt after a ceiling collapsed at their military home. Forces families are resorting to shaming the MOD's Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) and private contractors on social media to get them to carry out necessary repairs.

@DefencePeople @MilitaryBanter The internal information flow is not there. In the space of a month I have discovered food and accommodation changes are happening on Social Media. We (Defence) seem able to use e mail for ‘all staff messages’ but not for the important stuff such as changes to T&S.
