🌞 Today is my 35th time around the sun
In these turbulent times, it is hard to take a break from the immense suffering millions of people due to global wars and climate change. There are so many immediate problems we as a civilization need to solve and many long term problems we need to invest in if we want to avoid letting history repeat itself.
Human Rights and Ocean Conservation are two causes that my wife, @brinspencerlee, and I personally support and for my birthday this year, I invite all my friends and family in supporting @thehydrous, a 501(c)3 non-profit that I co-founded in 2014. patreon.com/TheHydrous?utm…
It has since become an organism, a community on its own, fueled by passionate people like our CEO @ErikaWoolseyPhD, who believe that the way for real change is for people to experience and engage with these beautiful ecosystems. Ultimately, our planet will be fine without us; but our livelihood is very much dependent on how well we preserve our own largest food, water, and oxygen source.
I’m proud to say that a decade later, The Hydrous has scaled its impact worldwide, with 1M+ people who have experienced our immersive educational content, and many more with our digital 3D models, hands-on learning kits and multidisciplinary partnerships.
Our work has won @TheWebbyAwards and Anthem awards, been featured by @CNN, @Forbes, and @WIRED, and been conducted in partnership with @NatGeo, @smithsonian, @Stanford and @UN

I took this photo at Jellyfish lake in Palau years ago. Sadly it is one of the many beautiful ecosystems at risk of disappearing. We must protect the things we love the most.
