Testimony by detransitioners and whistleblowers is crucial to make lawmakers understand the harms caused by gender medicine. Thank you @detransaqua for speaking out today. Help us support their lawsuits to get justice. Link to donate below in thread.

We support several cases that use alternate theories, such as fraud and violations of civil rights. These are novel legal theories and require financial support We also support legal reforms to extend the statute of limitations for claims against gender doctors because of the unique harms caused by these interventions.

Thank you chairman of the @FTC @AFergusonFTC for coming to #detransawarenessday to hear the voices of detransitioners who have suffered because of medical fraud at the hands of abusive doctors.

Last week, the Texas Supreme Court heard oral arguments on whether @SorenAldaco's medical malpractice case against her former therapist was out of time. Justice for detransitioners hangs in the balance. She breaks down what happened in court. Watch ⬇️

In this clip from oral arguments in @SorenAldaco's case against her therapist, Justice James Sullivan asks the therapist's attorney a pointed question. How do you think the attorney did in answering the question?

The issue in @SorenAldaco's appeal to the Texas Supreme Court is whether the two year statute of limitations for her claim against her therapist should start running from the date the therapist wrote the letter or the date of the mastectomy the therapist recommended. The questions from the justices indicate that at least some of them understand the stakes of this case. When the therapist's attorney said that Soren had "asked for" for the letter, Justice James Sullivan asked what other medical field allows patients to "ask to be harmed." The unique nature of the harms of gender medicine justify reforming the statute of limitations for these claims. We thank @leachfortexas for being at the oral arguments to hear Soren's attorney make her case.

Thank you. Those who believe in evidence based principles prudently want quality evidence to back up their statements. As Leor emphasizes - this is a "bare minimum" number. This study, and others, focuses on claims for insurance reimbursement for procedures billed under a gender dysphoria diagnosis. However, there is room for anecdotal evidence as well. It may not tell the whole story, but it can point in the direction where more research may be fruitful. In that regard, we will say that we have had the opportunity to review the medical records and first hand accounts from several female detransitioners who had mastectomies - and the majority of those we have seen would not show up in the searches that have been conducted Reuters, @CityJournal , or @donoharm. Many were cash pay. Many were performed at Kaiser Permanente. And now we are learning that many have been fraudulently coded. (We should not underestimate how many children Kaiser has transitioned. It is the largest health system in the west - especially states where the trans social contagion is most prominent.) This information is available from some states for researchers, however, some of those states such as California, Colorado, and now Oregon are moving to erase this data completely so that we are all left in the dark. There is an organized campaign to understate the scope of this scandal. It is important that the world learns the true numbers.
Leor Sapir@LeorSapir

This is the result of our data analysis of U.S. insurance claims. A bare minimum of 5,200 teen girls had their breasts amputated as part of a "gender-affirming" procedure between 2017 and 2023. The true number is likely quite a bit higher.

Analogies fail. House of cards? Rats off a ship? The beginning of an avalanche? We don't know, but we do know that today the lie of a medical consensus in support of pediatric gender medicine crumbled. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons announced, in an unimpeachably well researched statement, that they opposed sex rejecting surgeries on minors - AND that the evidence in support of endocrine treatments was also insufficient. Within hours, the AMA, which for years has endorsed this insanity despite opposition from its members at large, told National Review that because "the evidence for gender-affirming surgical intervention in minors is insufficient for us to make a definitive statement . . . the AMA agrees with ASPS that surgical interventions in minors should be generally deferred to adulthood.” Question for the AMA - was the evidence ever sufficient to justify these practices?

Varian V Einhorn is the first detransitioner lawsuit to reach a verdict, and Fox Varian was awarded $2M Even better is that this was in New York! I am going to trial as well against my doctors with @Liberty_Ctr and this gives me even more hope that I will get justice for myself

@tomwoot @themisRF It's what's happened in Australia, the insurers are limiting the coverage for docs treating gender identity, particularly in minors so some providers are withdrawing treatment for under 18's.

The Fox Varian verdict is an exciting development and we are thrilled for her and her family. Here are some important points - These cases will never determine that gender medicine is dangerous in itself. All they can do is compare the health care providers' conduct to "standards of care," which unfortunately are created by WPATH, the APA and other captured organizations. This is why regulatory and cultural reform is still needed. - The psychologists and mental health providers will bear much of the liability because of the instant affirmation culture. The conduct of the psychologist in this case is not unusual if you talk to parents and detransitioners. - The American public knows this "medicine" is quackery. Westchester county is deeply liberal. This is not a partisan issue when you put it to the public. - There are other cases that have settled, or will soon settle, confidentially, such as Towe v. US. The insurers and risk managers will start to take note of what is going on, however we are aware of efforts by the pro-medicalization crowd to indoctrinate insurers through "continuing education" programs that are basically just propaganda. The insurance industry needs balanced information on the harms of these practices.

"Litigation is a blunt instrument, but it is often the only one left when an industry loses its ethical bearings." How the recent detransitioner verdict may finally wake the world to the dangers posed to vulnerable people by "gender medicine." @themisRF open.substack.com/pub/geraldposn…
