We struggled to eat as children
We are not of royal lineage
- Vijay's family
This picture was taken before Vijay started acting in the early 90s.
Sony Camcorder - price somewhere near 1000$
In today's value, it would be almost 10 lakhs!
Even then, it was a holiday in cold regions!
Really you very poor people!🤷♂️
Today met an affluent family that provided their daughter with the most elite education in a prominent boarding school followed by a well-known university where fee for ‘liberal arts’ course is Rs 6 lakh a year
Two years ago, the girl left home and told court that she is an adult who wants to live as per free will, and she needs protection from her parents
Top lawyers defended her in court
She has not contacted the family since then. Parents have exhausted their legal options to make her return or even meet them
I will soon do an interview with the couple. Today was an introductory meeting
While their daughter’s leaving them was a complete shock and came out of the blue, these are conversations she would routinely have with the parents:
- you are Brahmins and privileged scumbags
- gender and sexual identity is fluid
- ours is a dysfunctional family because you have screamed at me at least four times in these 20 years
@DEBU_NEOGI It's not about age, its about the mindset of upbringing , job class people and their descendents can't handle the pressure and frustration of business.
At 19, I was preparing for exams.
At 19, my Marwari classmates were already running businesses.
I didn't understand it then. I do now.
I am a Bengali. Son of a teacher.
Nobody in my family through generations knew business.
At St. Xavier's College, Kolkata, morning classes would end at 9.50AM.
I would go home.
My Marwari friends would go straight to their family shops, firms, and factories.
At 19, they were writing invoices.
At 19, they were sitting in supplier meetings.
At 19, they were counting inventory.
At 19, they were learning money not from books, but from their fathers.
I was solving question papers.
They were solving real problems.
One morning in the college canteen,
I watched a classmate discussing about a shipment delay.
He was 19. Handling logistics.
I didn't even know what a supply chain was.
That day I decided - if they can do this, why can't I?
That thought led me to CA.
CA taught me how to read businesses.
Reading businesses taught me how to build them.
That journey helped me build my own business which is now in 34 countries !
All because I sat next to the right people at 19.
The Marwari community is India's oldest and greatest business school.
No campus. No degree. No placement cell.
Just fathers teaching sons over chai and calculators.
Who shaped your career without knowing it? Tag them.
In my area, almost every new house now follows the same pattern.
Ground floor for living.
Upper floor for rent.
Everyone wants rental income.
At this pace, one day there may be more houses for rent than actual tenants.
Some EV owners are occupying fast chargers and charging to 100 %.
This is making fast charging 'slow' for other EV owners who're getting delayed by hours due to poor charging etiquette of some EV owners.
At a fast charger, it's ideal to vacate the charging slot after one's electric car is charged to 80 or 85 %, especially when someone's waiting in line.
Why? Because charging slows down beyond 80 % on most electric cars.
Hogging the charger and waiting for 100 % charge can delay both you and others.
PS: @atherenergy had an innovative solution to this at its fast charging Ather Grid when it used to offer free charging. The charger would automatically disconnect after 80 %. This prevented people from hogging the fast charger. Can CPOs do something similar?

@RaghavBasu@SkodaIndia what ever the emergency is i never handbover the car to anyone for pickup and drop facilities. how can company be blamed for it.
AVOID @SkodaIndia CARS - MY NIGHTMARE WITH SKODA SERVICE CENTER
So I scheduled for the home pickup of my Kylaq for the welcome service (my car had just hit the 1000 km mark). The driver from the service Center arrived early morning, made me sign the form for handover
@itsAdityaT its the citizens love for there country and architecture that brings others attentions. when indians hate there history and architecture what to say about others . how to change the Slave mentality.
Being a car enthusiast, this really hurts.
A Toyota Land Cruiser owned by Navjot Singh Sidhu is being driven with expired insurance, pollution certificate, and fitness clearance. And yet, it’s still on the road.
Does the Delhi Police have the audacity to check this? Or does being a celebrity and politician give you a free pass to ignore the law?
We own Land Cruisers too so why can’t we drive them like this? Can we just take ours into Delhi without valid documents and expect no consequences? If this is acceptable, then should it apply to everyone?
Why do you think Indians have so much pent up rage in them?
Small arguments are leading to people being shot or killed or beaten to pulp? Traffic issues, neighbourhood squabbles, dog owners fights and even a minor birthday cake cutting incident.
What is the cause for such rage, anger and frustration?
@nehanagarr nothing from these , future generations need to be taught how to work for development .
everything else in above options will be taken care of
What, according to you, is the biggest hurdle in India’s development? 🇮🇳
> freebies
> reservation
> corruption
> bureaucracy
> unemployment
> infrastructure
> or something else
SIP closures were more than 100% in the month of March.
While every time to hype it up we talk about gross figures and not net additions.

@ShivrattanDhil1 This shows the lack of business in that particular area nothing to do with doctors or treatment. Every business flourishes when there is ample opportunity for funds.
No single cardiac hospital or doctor within 60 km of my village serious cases travel 220 km to Chandigarh!
But on that same stretch, you’ll find around 10 kfc 10 McDonalds around 15 of coffee shops, Shopping stores!
That alone says everything about our priorities healthcare still isn’t treated as essential, but consumption is
That’s our reality and our failure🙏🏻
