@therickytodd @SpursReporter They didn’t show the Game 6 clip, but he came down awkwardly on it again. That’s why before halftime he limped off the court. He finished the game, but KJ and Steph among others all commented about his injury afterwards.

Anyone who thinks De'Aaron Fox is “ducking” or that the Spurs are playing lineup games truly does not understand how dangerous that injury play by Ayo Dosunmu was. Fox basically forced himself to play through the ankle injury in Game 6, and afterward the ankle reportedly responded very poorly with swelling and soreness. This isn’t gamesmanship. It’s the Conference Finals and he's dealing with a legitimately compromised ankle.
SpursRΞPORTΞR@SpursReporter

Mitch Johnson says he’s still unsure whether De'Aaron Fox will play tonight against the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 2. Sounds like it’ll likely come down to a game-time decision depending on how Fox’s sore ankle is feeling.

@spurs_muse Patience, grasshopper. The depth of this team will overcome. The league and officiating can try to f us but don’t make Steph angry. He’s the engine.

It’s just so unfortunate that our first playoff run in damn near a decade is decided by officiating and not who the better basketball team is

@theblockspot You have to win your divisions tournament and you move on. If you really want the 1 v 8 route. Scrap divisions altogether. 1 to 8 makes divisions pointless. Pick one or the other.

The Dallas Stars were the 2nd best team in the Western Conference this season. They should be playing the 7th best team in the 1st Round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. They are instead playing the 3rd best team in the 1st Round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Wild.

@ACTBrigitte Except it hasn’t been successful so no - we’d have reacted the exact same way. It’s a repeat of the Russia-Ukraine war and we’ve all seen how long that has lasted.

Let's be VERY clear about something: if Joe Biden had led a military operation THIS successful in Iran the way President Trump has, the mainstream media would be kissing the ground he walked on. It doesn't matter how great a job President Trump does, the media will always lie.

The Lights Have Taken Full Effect
@JustEric The OP is 100% correct. Kids were in school and were not watching the takeoff of the Challenger. Word spread as the news got out and the national nightly news was the first time most people saw the video.

Let me get this straight. You think a space shuttle with a civilian teacher on board exploded during launch, killing all on board, and teachers all across the country decided to show the *replay* to millions of students?
Dave W Plummer@davepl1968

99.9% of people who "experienced" the Challenger disaster saw it on replay and now remember it as live. Almost NO ONE was watching. Everyone thinks they were. It's a fascinating collective false memory.

@krisinhawaii @ManaByte You may have; about 5% of US students did. The problem is almost 100% *say today* they watched it live, but almost all of us didn't. We watched news coverage later.

This is insultingly false. Thousands of kids (including myself) were watching it live. It was a huge deal. The Shuttle was massively popular at the time and a civilian teacher going up made it even a bigger deal. Schools setup TVs for classes to see the launch live. I’ll never forget that day. Ever.

@krisinhawaii @ManaByte It probably is though. Unless you were in the one market in Florida, or decided to watch CNN that day, what you saw was the network breaking in a minute or two later and showing the explosion after it happened.

@davepl1968 This guy’s argument is “What about people on the West Coast??” Kids on the West Coast were in school at 830 AM dipshit. This didn’t happen at 6 AM…

Anyone who experienced the Space Shuttle Challenger explosion, like I did, is probably a bit hesitant to get too excited about the Artemis II launch today. I truly hope our children don’t have to experience such tragedy. May the Universe welcome them and return them safely home 🙏
