Great table on RTP times for different BSI's.
Treatment wise I have found something akin to what they recommend, but I don't have access to MRI without ortho referral (usually slow process). So for suspected low risk BSI's I just unload as little as possible for pain-free ambulation, train around the injury and re-assess in 2-4 weeks. For suspected high-risk BSI I get a plain X-ray asap but treat as high risk BSI with appropriate unloading strategy for 2-4 weeks then new X-ray to see if there's signs of bone injury. If not -> faster return and/or work differential diagnosis. If there is -> keep unloading for appropriate time, monitor pain response, and see if patient needs to see GP for ruling out any disorder or sports dietician to work on RED-s.

Good friend is mid 30’s, in shape, never been hurt, works out 5x/week, has a fancy downtown gym membership.
Recently had knee pain, went to see a physical therapist. Has a $100 copay. Every visit they passed him off to tech who watched him do tib raises.
Never got better.
Modern rehab is broken.

Well, race starts in 20 mins and there’s a decent amount of snow/slush on the course and several trees down that we’ll have to step/jump over so I don’t think I’m going out in 18:00 today. 😂

Running a 10k tomorrow. Course is a flat, fast, out and back. Plan is to hit the turn around in 18:00 and hope I can hang on!

Tennis elbow. Stupid name. Everyone will get it. Injections make it worse and should be avoided.
Painful tendons want load… so braces are bad ideas too.

It's always the runners who dismiss stretching.
Not the weight lifters, not the kick boxers, not the BJJ guys, not the soccer athletes, not the gymnasts, not the holistic bros, etc etc
And of course, never the guys who have helped older folks with rehab.
