Great table on RTP times for different BSI's. Treatment wise I have found something akin to what they recommend, but I don't have access to MRI without ortho referral (usually slow process). So for suspected low risk BSI's I just unload as little as possible for pain-free ambulation, train around the injury and re-assess in 2-4 weeks. For suspected high-risk BSI I get a plain X-ray asap but treat as high risk BSI with appropriate unloading strategy for 2-4 weeks then new X-ray to see if there's signs of bone injury. If not -> faster return and/or work differential diagnosis. If there is -> keep unloading for appropriate time, monitor pain response, and see if patient needs to see GP for ruling out any disorder or sports dietician to work on RED-s.

Can we retire the word "prehab"? Exercise before injury or for preventative purposes should just be a good resistance training program. At most, you could slightly gear it towards your sport or hobbies, but even that is not necessary. No need to make up a new word for it!

The ATG split squat causes a lot of injuries. There is a better way to train the exercise for most people. Instead of trying to load full ROM – perform it as an isometric hold. You will increase mobility + tendon benefits over full repetitions while keeping damage risk low.
