V.D. Satheesan’s rise as the next CM choice is a direct mandate from UDF voters who demanded his leadership on the ground. The IUML and senior leaders like A.K. Antony simply echoed this public outcry for a change in guard. It wasn't about party pressure, but a unified democratic call to honor the people's will.

Congress’s decision to appoint V D Satheesan as Kerala Chief Minister raises vexing political questions. It reflects the growing influence of Indian Union Muslim League, a radical organisation, within Kerala’s power structure, especially given the CM-elect’s perceived proximity to the party. At the same time, it also underlines the weakening grip of Rahul Gandhi over key decisions, as his close aide K C Venugopal did not make the cut for the top post. The former points to changing political equations in Kerala; while the latter signals an increasingly diffused and uncertain Congress leadership structure.

Everyone should notice the difference between INC and BJP .BJP should reward the hard work of leaders .Look to Assam and West Bengal .INC was throwing @vdsatheesan and Ramesh Chennithala in to the dust bin and planning to appoint KC VENOGOPAL as the CM of Kerala.

The people of Kerala voted for change, not for a power struggle. @kharge and the High Command must listen to the pulse of the state. Give Kerala the leader it deserves, not the leader the lobbyists want. ⚖️ #KeralaCM #CongressCrisis #RahulGandhi

Crucially, Congress must acknowledge they didn't win this alone. The IUML’s massive surge (22 seats) is the reason UDF is in power. Ignoring ground reality and ally sentiment to favor "Delhi favorites" is a recipe for disaster. #IUML #UDFKerala

There is a palpable feeling across Kerala that the party is doing injustice to V.D. Satheesan. As LoP, he was the architect of the UDF’s resurgence. Why is the High Command hesitant to reward the man who led from the front? #VDSatheesan #Kerala

The victory in Kerala should be a moment of pride for @INCIndia, but instead, it’s becoming a "Chief Ministerial Selection Problem." Reports say @RahulGandhi is disappointed with the internal lobbying. He reportedly knows exactly who is pulling the strings. #KeralaPolitics #UDF

@AgodaUsPage @ChoiceHotels Arrived at 12 AM with my 7-year-old only to find NO RUNNING WATER. 🚫💧 The night staff was incredibly unprofessional and rude, refusing a refund despite the hotel being uninhabitable. Per CA Civil Code § 1941.1, water is a non-negotiable basic amenity. Making a family stay in these conditions at midnight is a health violation. Still no water by 8 AM! @Agoda @ChoiceHotels — I expect a full refund for this nightmare.

#Kerala

Sir , What is happening in Keralam is very disappointing .@kcvenugopalmp who among the one who decided Members of Parliament should not contest the Kerala election ,who is also an MP is trying to become the chief minister by the support of certain MLA s who got ticket because of him .This would be an end to the congress party in Keralam .As an AICC sectary in charge of Organisation he created his own group in n Keralam. So the general public is against KC being appointing as CM .The general public voted for UDF considering @vdsatheesan as the CM so with folded hands am requesting to you to make @vdsatheesan as the CM

Thank you to my brothers and sisters in Keralam for a truly decisive mandate. Congratulations to every UDF leader and worker for a hard-fought, well-run campaign. As I said before, Keralam has the talent, Keralam has the potential and now Keralam has a UDF government with a vision to harness both. I look forward to seeing my Keralam family soon ♥️

PETITION: Respect the People’s Mandate To: The Congress High Command With a 102-seat majority, the people of Kerala have spoken. We demand that the High Command respects this mandate by appointing an elected MLA as Chief Minister. Our Demands: No "Imposed" CM: Appoint Shri V.D. Satheesan or another elected MLA who fought and won on the ground. No Unnecessary Bye-elections: Do not waste public resources by appointing an MP, which forces two avoidable elections. Consistency: Honor your own rule that MPs should not lead the state assembly. Alliance Integrity: Respect the contributions of the IUML and ensure leadership reflects the strength of the entire front, not the arrogance of individuals. The mandate belongs to the people. Choose a leader from the 102.

I urge the leadership to respect the clear mandate given by the people of Kerala. It is crucial that we learn from the past and avoid repeating the strategic errors witnessed in Rajasthan. Overlooking the will of the electorate only leads to long-term instability.

@vdsatheesan Congratulations to V.D. Satheesan Ji on a well-earned victory. As the UDF celebrates this success, it is important to recognize that the people of Kerala have entrusted the alliance with a profound responsibility. To ensure long-term stability, the leadership must be mindful of the following: Historical Lessons: It is vital to avoid the administrative lapses that occurred during the 2011-2016 term to maintain public confidence. Vigilance: We must remain alert, as the BJP is looking for any opportunity to capitalize on missteps and influence the public narrative through fear. Structural Reform: I suggest considering a 'small government' approach—prioritizing quality over quantity. Restructuring the government to be more lean and efficient will signal a commitment to real progress and accountability.
