The weight room is biased. It only rewards those who work. And it will see right through anyone not willing to do it. It’s a truth teller. You can’t fool it. It will let you know exactly where things stand.

The number one key to team success: unselfishness Without a culture built around togetherness and a team-first attitude, nothing else matters.

FAILING TO HOLD PEOPLE ACCOUNTABLE: - erodes your team's culture - undermines your team's standards - weakens your leadership credibility - frustrates people who do the right thing - destroys your team's chances of success IF YOU WANT TO WIN, YOU MUST HOLD PEOPLE ACCOUNTABLE.

What is the Cost of Leadership? It costs $0 to say “hello.” It costs $0 to pick up trash It costs $0 to say “please.” It costs $0 to be kind It costs $0 to say “thank you.” It costs $0 to encourage others It costs $0 to smile Lead by Example. It costs nothing.

Four simple reasons you and student athletes should avoid Celsius 1. High caffeine content 200 mg of caffeine per can which is equivalent to 2 strong cups of coffee. Can cause: Jitters, anxiety, or heart palpitations. Sleep disruption (especially if consumed after 2–3 PM). Headaches or withdrawal symptoms if used regularly and stopped suddenly. 👉 Not ideal for teens, those with heart conditions, or caffeine sensitivity. 2. Stimulant “cocktail” Contains guarana, green tea extract (EGCG), caffeine anhydrous, and ginger root all are stimulants or thermogenics. Stacked together, they may increase metabolic rate, but can overstimulate your central nervous system, especially during intense training or in hot weather. 3. Not NSF Certified for Sport Celsius is not third-party tested for banned substances (like NSF Certified for Sport or Informed Sport). Athletes in tested sports (NCAA, military, pro leagues) should be cautious risk of contamination or banned ingredients (even trace amounts). 4. Artificial sweeteners & additives High in sucralose, citric acid, and other flavorings. While generally recognized as safe (GRAS), some people experience bloating, GI distress, or simply prefer to avoid artificial ingredients.

What's your excuse for not strength training? Why are people at all ages suddenly becoming more fit than they’ve ever been in their lives? Could it be that they are learning that strength training is a key to health and longevity? (see you at the gym) h/t @eveforamerica

Baseball players, two of my favorite quotes from New York Mets scout Kevin Whiteside: @CoachCrick 🐐 “You better love the weight room like you love your mama.” “Big butts equals big paychecks.” Translation: Strength matters. Get in the weight room and go to work.

This is so powerful and is definitely a topic I have been thinking about a lot. Now in schools children in elementary school are assigned their own IPads. It is a battle I am willing to fight. Like Ray said for our kids sake we need to get back to old school.

Weightroom testing days are the ultimate athletic lie detector. Did you do all your reps? "Yeah, Coach." It's separates the "Dids" from the "Didn'ts" like nothing else in our society.

The weight room is the most influential room in a school. It’s not a place to hang out — it’s a classroom. A place where habits are built, standards are set, and character is developed.

I don’t follow hockey, but this had me tearing up. They brought their teammate’s (who was killed by a drunk driver) kids out onto the ice with their dad’s jersey to celebrate the moment. 🥹
