In 2–3 years, there will be no way to tell what’s real and what’s not… and I have no idea how humanity will deal with this enormous problem.

@levelsio @stripe The better option would be to have a toggle on Customer Portal that says "do not pro-rate downgrades". Please Stripe, add this option! Pro-rating only makes sense during an upgrade.

I discovered there's rampant abuse of AI apps that use @Stripe's Customer Portal 1) Subscribers upgrade to a high plan, credits reset 2) They quickly use up all the credits 3) They then quickly downgrade, getting protated, credits reset 4) And that way can bankrupt you in GPU costs while paying almost nothing I've had to disable plan changes because there's no way to stop this with Stripe right now The fix is easy: let customers upgrade immediately, while initiating downgrades only at the next billing cycle @patrickc please add this, easy fix and makes every B2C site owner in AI avoid upgrade/downgrade abuse I made a mockup:

Anyone know what the strategy/hack of this customer is, they keep changing plans up and down? I think it's some hack to get credits but not pay for them but I'm literally too Low IQ to get it? How do I lock accounts or avoid them perpetually switching plans? @stripe can you add a limit to how many plan changes or downgrades per month?

@DaveTaylorNews The points of view are interesting. I personally much prefer app / QR code ordering. It's generally way faster, less errors, menus are better because usually there's photos, no need to split bills at the end. If given an option I'd choose app ordering every time.

Startups are hard as hell, so laugh often, eat healthy, exercise, sleep well, don’t take yourself too seriously, and enjoy the ride. Building a startup is a rollercoaster. The pressure is intense, and challenges are non-stop. That’s why it’s crucial to take care of yourself and keep things in perspective. Laugh often. It lightens the mood, relieves stress, and keeps the team motivated and positive. Eat healthy and exercise. Your body needs the right fuel and activity to keep up with startup demands. Healthy habits increase energy, focus, and well being. Sleep well. Don’t sacrifice sleep for productivity because it leads to burnout. Rest is essential for clear decisions and health. Don’t take yourself too seriously. Mistakes happen and stuff catches on fire. Roll with the punched and keep a sense of humor. It’s all part of the journey. Enjoy the ride. Celebrate small wins, appreciate learning experiences, and cherish the relationships you build.

Michael says "this migration pattern underscores the movement of wealth towards stable, economically prosperous regions while reflecting socio-political and economic challenges in countries experiencing high outflows."

These stats from @MichaelMatusik are fascinating. Australia had the highest net millionaire arrivals in 2023. If you've got the cashmoney, Australia is the place to be apparently.

Huge news for the future of web design. These days the web severely lacks visual creativity and originality. Gone are the days of brands and organisations really pushing the limits of what's possible online. Can't wait to see how this develops!
