How wormholes work. The word wormhole comes from John Archibald Wheeler used to describe an Einstein Rosen bridge. A wormhole is a shortcut between two points in spacetime. Quantum entanglement is the same phenomenon. ER = EPR Wormhole travel can be considered extra dimensional due to the traveler being displaced from local spacetime. They are possible because Einstein showed that everything is relative, meaning two people can see the same event and witness completely different things. A wormhole traveler may be surrounded by darkness one moment only to reappear in a completely different location. Meanwhile an observer would see a person vanish in a flash or reappear in a flash. Not a sustained portal but a shaped, focused electromagnetic bubble. Plasma is a good medium. The effects are local, not global. You can reverse aging but you can’t go back in time.
