@ExoGhost Doesn't change the fact the game is actually pretty good. Unfortunately, it's not for everyone.
It's just funny how so clowns have such a sad life that they spend every moment obsessing over how they want a game to die. Just a bunch of dick suckers with nothing to contribute.

Over the weekend, a player posted a video of them taking advantage of a map issue and going out of bounds to gain access into the Compiler room to ambush a team after they finished completing the encounter. First off, we will have this issue fixed before Cryo Archive becomes available again. In the past, we have not taken action against players going out of bounds, but due to this case heavily affecting other players negatively, we'll be reviewing our policies and sharing more details soon. While we don't want to punish players for bugs that they run into by accident, we will communicate more clearly the line that players should not cross when it comes to using these sorts of bugs that could be griefing others. We will be reaching out to the affected players to grant them compensation for having their successful run interrupted by this issue.

He was working on this exploit for 2 weeks. It was on purpose, on stream, and he did it more than once.
Permanent ban? No. But suspension for the rest of the season? Yes.

Cryo Clip of the Week goes to the most HEINOUS, EVIL, and DISGUSTING thing I have EVER done in any video game.
If you can get Out of Bounds and you can get into the Compiler loot room.
And you can just camp in the room for someone do compiler.....and then kill them.

I can guarantee that people like this guy keep talking about Destiny 3, and yet they either never played D2, or their contact with it did end with campaign story and thats it. No raids, no dungeons, no high level content whatsoever.

The only pivot that actually makes any sense: - Kill Marathon, redirect resources to Destiny 3 - Give Destiny 2 a skeleton crew for updates - Make absolutely sure that Destiny 3 hits every marker possible. No niche, nothing! Campaign mode, co-op local multiplayer, etc!

They'll need a mode for the every day individual at some point. Id take some sort of story mode as well. Itd do great.

They will have to pivot hard to bounce back, but at least they have a solid foundation as far as the game controls/mechanics. Cool setting and aesthetic, good graphics etc

Reminiscing of the days when we got a DLC, 4 seasons, 2 raids, and 2 dungeons per year compared to now where they can't even manage the least amount of content the game has ever gotten because they needed to make an extraction shooter that can't even crack 10k on steam

@exmallrat @MarathonGG_ The user scores have dropped to under 60. And their core playerbase is shrinking to less than Destiny 2 numbers. There's no continuous cash flow when it took 2 months to have less population than your 7 year old game.
They havent made a dollar profit off Marathon.

Here is what they said in full -
“In our studio business, earnings from Bungie's title portfolio did not reach our expectations, so we downwardly revised our business plan and impaired the full amount of the fixed assets related to Bungie except for goodwill.
Player reception to Marathon is strong, with the game receiving a Metacritic score of 82 and more than 90% of the player reviews on Steam being positive. Engagement metrics such as retention also remain at a high level.
Going forward, we aim to improve the performance of the game by working to retain highly engaged core users through the introduction of additional content, further improvements in the gameplay experience and expansion of the user base.”

@nonaseki @Merc_Jackal99 (3) Raids and Dungeons still exist, but have some big 12 man activitys like we could for Escalation Protocol that are matchmade to play with larger groups of friends.
Biggest thing is new engine. The Tiger one is worn out and its already giving Marathon problems.

@nonaseki @Merc_Jackal99 (2) Id say closer to Division in that aspect. You get world events, narrative elements that can change worlds and how they interact, give places to just roam and loot /farm.
Keep core ideas like strikes and PvP. For simple replay ability.
Itd mix new and old. Then adjust.

@nonaseki @Merc_Jackal99 And without profit, there's no trying new things. You need both. Its easier to do that with a wide audience and broader concepts. Destiny is still a better fit for that than Marathon.
Both should exist. But the bigger population should take priority instead of the tiny one.
