@mspowahs And there were loud planes going overhead every 4 minutes during the grief circle. Our facilitator timed them. So. many. planes. Pretty much everyone who spoke got their own bespoke plane interruption.

@jina @nathanacurtis @danmall yeah, it feels like managing the site gives people emotional comfort, like yeah we're doing DS as a product because we have this tangible effortful output! but what cultural artifacts can we point to outside of that? What else are we naming and sharing about how we do DS?

@nathanacurtis @danmall I said this (in my Invisible Design Systems & my Design Systems Spiral talks) & it wasn't received well by some folks. People are precious about their separate sites. I think we spend a lot of time building representations of our systems, when the systems themselves need love. 🙃

I pondered with @danmall earlier this week: if/when our tools (Figma, Storybook, etc) continue to improve, how much to separate design system documentation websites recede in importance? Are we approaching a point where we manage content flowed into tools instead?
