I’ve played with Vince the last two seasons in a DC wood bat league in the 30s and 40s divisions. We pretty much always win. Mainly because of Vince. He still pumps mid 80s when he needs to and lives in the zone daring the other team to hit him; they don’t. He doesn’t get tired. He pitches multiple complete games a week. And he can hit nukes from the left side still.

Rob Manfred and the @MLB owners screwed the pooch when they decided to eliminate 40 plus @MiLB teams and cut the Amateur Draft to 20 rounds to save money! It’s very clear that the talent pool is diminished in professional baseball. There are way too many players in the MLB who clearly don’t belong! The “Show” used to be made up of the best players in the world who earned the right to be called Big Leaguers! Now it’s filled with guys with potential who are allowed to fail over and over and over because someone in the organization thinks they will figure it out! That’s what the minor leagues are for! If you can’t dominate in the minor leagues then you don’t belong in the “Show”. It shouldn’t matter where you were drafted or how much money they invested in you!
