SML, STRATEGIC MINERALS - Breath-taking update and confirming today that's its been the best new position of 2025. Headline numbers are standout with a A BASE-CASE after-tax NPV(8%) of US$1.54 billion, 40% IRR. For a junior AIM explorer, tier-1 economics especially when you consider the modest pre-production capex of only US$110 million. The huge point is that it's a conservative base case as it uses US$1,200/mtu WO₃. That makes it more credible and robust obviously as prices right now are more than double that. "The Company notes that current market prices per mtu APT, last reported by Fastmarkets on 20 March 2026 for their benchmark Tungsten APT 88.5% min cif Rotterdam and Baltimore duty-free, US$/mtu WO3 were US$2,500 to US$2,800 mtu APT, for a mid-range of US$2,650 mtu APT." Other headlines are the 49% increase in tonnage compared to the previous 2019 MRE and the major 2.4x increase in potential mine life from 12 to 29 years. The update explicitly beats the old scoping study which is a major de-risk and the value uplift. All the new drilling and better metallurgical recoveries (recent news showed tungsten recovery jumping to 85.8%) coming through. Looking ahead the balance sheet is super strong after the raises with the company fully funded for the infill drilling campaign. Would personally expect further upside from the PFS More to say (haven't read any other updates today yet!) but all in all, today validates this strategic UK asset and the world-class nature of the Redmoor tungsten-tin-copper deposit. A very exciting buy and hold.

If you drive an EV or you’re thinking about it, @OctopusEnergy has just lowered their prices even further. It’s going from ridiculously cheap to barbarically cheap to charge using an overnight tariff. This is effectively 1-1.5p a mile. With spiralling fuel costs there’s never been a better time. For us vs a diesel, travelling 50k annually, we will save £6,500 a year in fuel alone.
