Do you have a potential ICE40UP5K project you want to get professionally assembly? There are >1000 (~free) parts waiting for people to use! Big thank you to @whatnick for organising this to happen. Let's see some cool new FPGA boards!

Clearance for UP5K paid in China. So we now have a large reel stationed at PCBway. Do other people have UP5K based designs the would like to be made ? Cost to me for getting this reel was AUD 340 shipping + USD 136 clearance. #Logistics is hard.

The @tomu_im family welcomes the new @QuickLogic Tomu (or Qomu)! crowdsupply.com/quicklogic/qomu Now you don't have to choose between an MCU (Tomu / Somu) or a FPGA (Fomu) as the Qomu has both an ARM MCU core and a embedded FPGA. FPGA has *manufacturer* supported open source tooling!

@Obijuan_cube @mithro A lovely board. Just amazing. After installing the fomu-toolchain. Things are easy to upload binary file or firmware.

Making and breaking security go hand in hand. After designing Precursor (precursor.dev), I took a crack at breaking it. I found the developer access port (JTAG) to be a weakness. It must be glued shut to ensure security. More nuances at bunniestudios.com/blog/?p=5979.

@hackadayio @femtoduino Now just need to actually create that specification for Tomu expansion boards that @xobs and I where discussion. RPi's have hats. RPi Zero's have Bonnets. The Tomu form factor should have... ... mittens! (Use mechanical fingers to connect to a thumb drive :-P).
