@GemeenteDenHaag Het resultaat was al te zien in m'n tweet. Onder de motorkap lijkt de site ook te verbinden met een systeem voor inloggen met digid, dus vraag me af of dit al ondersteund wordt?

.@1Password browser extension is injecting Prism.js *globally* on every page, which then applies its syntax highlighting logic on all blocks matching [lang=*] regardless of whether it’s meant to be compatible, thus breaking original highlighting. Terrible negligence and even more so that this made to prod while already flagged during beta. Been a user for a long time but this will def push me to an alternative if not fixed soon.

If you recently noticed a lack of syntax highlighting across the web, it's not you, it's @1Password. Their extension recently started breaking syntax highlighting (by injecting prismjs globally on every page). It was flagged in nightly/beta builds and still pushed out to prod 🤯

Hey Daniel! We’re aware of an issue in recent versions of the 1Password browser extension that can interfere with syntax highlighting on some pages. The team is actively working on a fix. We don’t have a timeline to share yet, but keeping the extension up to date will ensure you receive it once it’s available.

Can anyone explain why many countries in Europe can't scale up their electricity grid now? How hard is it to put more power cables in the ground and up on poles? Expensive? Telcos seem to do it with ease for fiber for example, why is it hard to do the same for power? Curious

@levelsio @Tesla grid is overwhelmed almost everywhere in europe. they massively underspend on improving the grid in NL companies have to wait months to get a connection in some areas and companies are asked to reduce consumption will get worse before it gets better i think

@thijsniks @levelsio We do notice that for hotels with broader apeal, on-site staff to support guests that are less tech-savvy is required if you need to go through a self-service checkin. What @levelsio proposes would be great for a specific demographic though (myself included)

@thijsniks @levelsio Others mentioned citizenM, they also have a strong tech focus/digital first approach. Big difference is that they use it to enable full self-service and freeing up staff to focus on actual interactions with guests (Note: my company builds/operates guest facing tech for citizenM)

Microsoft confirms "Update and Shut Down" was actually restarting Windows 11. If you have ever noticed Windows 11’s Update and Shut Down not actually shutting down your PC and restarting instead, you’re not alone. Many of us probably developed a little trust issue with that button because the PC kept bouncing back to the sign-in screen. Turns out it was a known issue with Windows 11 and even Windows 10. It's finally fixed. This fix will begin rolling out to everyone with this month's Patch Tuesday, scheduled for November 11. Requires Build 26200.7019 / 26100.7019 or newer.

Starters die een huis willen kopen verdienen steun, geen 10-0 achterstand. Het afschaffen van de hypotheekrenteaftrek raakt juist wie een koopwoning zoekt of net kocht keihard in de portemonnee. Dat repareer je gewoonweg niet via de inkomstenbelasting. Handen af van de aftrek!

From a scaleup founder: "I'm getting everyone a Claude enterprise subscription. GPT-5 is very disappointing: it keeps hallucinating (because it no longer 'thinks' by default). And we use Claude for coding anyway: Sonnet and Opus both great. Might as well go all the way"
