I've been talking about the problems with the streamer model - short runs, massive gaps, no residuals, strangling the writer/talent pipeline - meaning we don't have the sitcoms or procedurals people know and love. This is an even better summary....

@RoundtableSpace I uploaded a recent PowerPoint to Claude (paid) with various prompts asking it to make it more visually appealing but not change the content. It stretched the images, deleted whole sections, took items in the speaking notes and added them, chose a new design that was horrible.

The latest YouTube beats the BBC story overlooks that Barb’s data for YouTube is complete, but the data for the BBC only tracks iPlayer - so not video on BBC News, bbc.co.uk or podcasts/radio on BBC Sounds (podcasts & streaming radio is included in the YT numbers).
