Recap of the feedback on physical silver availability around the globe received so far (please feel free to keep sharing in comments): - Korea: Premiums ~$103/oz on secondary market 1kg bars (cheaper than new); - Sydney, Australia: 2-hour queues at bullion dealers (photo of line shared and confirmed recent); Perth Mint has 1kg silver coins/bars on backorder, many products sold out (e.g., max available now ~2oz). - Mumbai, India: ~$85/oz at shops; another report ~$92-93/oz (INR 265,000/kg). - Vietnam: Stores out of stock; only available OTC at high prices. - Taiwan: Limited supply, pre-order only; ~$83/oz for 50oz bars. - Hong Kong: silver bars are broadly sold out around the city (LPM, Kitco, San Gold), 1oz coins are offered at 12% premium over spot. Time to resupply some inventory expected 1w - 1m. - China: No delivery available before Chinese NY, 15kg bars orders at 2-3% premium vs SGE spot. Shuibei jewellery manufactures offering to buy old silver jewellery and items from clients at ~5% discount min 95% silver. - Singapore: a few bars offered at 7-9$ premium depending on size and dealers. Pre-Orders cannot be delivered before the 6th of February. - Institutional Commodity Trader based in Singapore: OTC physical silver order best offer ~90$, bulk orders ~95$. Orders only accepted on a best execution basis. - UK: 1kg bars ~$102/oz (including VAT), many "email when in stock" notices. - Nashville, USA: Dealer sold out entirely (bars, coins, junk silver); no sellers despite ATH prices, only one trade to gold. - Seattle area, USA: Shops nearly wiped out over the weekend, down to minimal inventory. - Illinois, USA: "Nothing much happening" (calmer). - Cape Cod, USA: Some 1oz rounds available near spot (~$72/oz).

In this case I'd say it's more likely it wasn't a test, but the woman suddenly decided she wasn't interested in the dude

In my experience however they usually think a lot about them and their outcome first. Which is why I think that particular idea is a bit far fetched

@USMarineVet1969 @jeremykauffman I’m not sure how to make this more clear. It literally says you know one thing and one thing only about this person. You know they have tested positive. It’s not a random member of the population.

@sorting_it @lporiginalg Everyone knows misery loves company. Not all the time... but some of the time, single women keep women single.

Why can’t some simply choose to not have children for reasons of their own without being criticized for it? Maybe they don’t think they’d be a good parent (and there are plenty of terrible parents). Maybe they haven’t found a partner they consider worthy of taking on the responsibility of parenting. Maybe they think there’s already too many people in the world. They weren’t asked to be brought into this world, so why put all these requirements on them?

@JoshWalkos "Dream Story" aka "Traumnovelle" was already adapted into a movie decades before Stanley Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut. Traumnovelle is a 1969 Austrian television film adaptation directed by Wolfgang Glück.

Stanley Kubrick died of a heart attack in his sleep six days after showing the final cut of Eyes Wide Shut to Warner Bros. He reportedly considered it his "greatest contribution to the art of cinema". Many have speculated that he was murdered for it and that this scene is why.

This is a perennial truth about women that men need to understand. Men are solution-oriented creatures. You'll notice that much of your interactions with other men are problem-solution dialogues. Women are not like this; women generally just want to be heard. Just nod and smile.
