All I can say is that your statement here will make a good ice breaker when you stand before King Jesus at the Bema Seat. In short, don’t mock the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues until you have asked the Lord Jesus for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. And remember Luke 11:11-13 (KJV), If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is a good gift from our Heavenly Father.

@WallWatchmanRC I was also taught this by well-meaning but deceived charismatic teachers - the truth is it is a made up doctrine which conflates the baptism into Christ with the “baptism of John”. Thus arriving at a necessary third baptism. Gods word is sufficient to make the man of God complete

Yes, there is a gigantic difference between praying in the Spirit and “just praying” to God. All Believers have the indwelling Holy Spirit, but not all have the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. When you are praying in the Spirit, you are praying in tongues (which is a gift received from the Baptism of the Holy Spirit) - - you are allowing the Holy Spirit to use your mouth to pray, and therefore, pray the perfect will of God.

@DividonBX @David_wthebeard There was no Roman Catholic Church when God gave us His word - there was only a worldwide/universal (catholic) church which all genuine believers were a part of. Don’t confuse history like you do the scriptures

ENOUGH of the Roman deception! The Catholic Church is NOT the “first Church,” the “mother Church,” or the rock Christ built upon. That’s a man-made lie used to prop up a Pope no apostle ever knew. Look at the text they twist: “Simon Peter answered, ‘You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.’ Jesus replied, ‘Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah… And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.’” (Matthew 16:16-18)“On this rock” does NOT mean Peter himself. Peter (Petros) = a small stone. The Rock (Petra) = the massive bedrock of Peter’s confession: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” The Church is built on faith in Jesus Christ, not on a man, not on “apostolic succession,” not on Rome. The true Church exploded at Pentecost when thousands confessed Christ as Lord (Acts 2). Jerusalem, not Rome, was the center. The apostles were a team under the Headship of Christ alone. No Pope in the New Testament. No “mother church” in the New Testament. Only one foundation: “For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 3:11). Wake up. Be convicted. Be inspired. Ditch the traditions that exalt a man over the Messiah. Stand on the unchanging Word and the unshakable Rock, Jesus Christ alone. The gates of hell will not prevail against the Church built on faith in Him.
