🚔LPR Alert Leads to Pursuit, Arrests of Five Juveniles On April 19, 2026, at approximately 12:50 PM, members of the Greece Police Department responded to a License Plate Reader (LPR) alert in the area of Beach Avenue for a reported stolen vehicle. Officers quickly located the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop. The operator failed to comply, resulting in a vehicle pursuit. The pursuit concluded on Rohr Street in the City of Rochester, where five occupants exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Officers safely apprehended all five individuals shortly thereafter with assistance from the Rochester Police Department. All individuals taken into custody were juvenile Rochester residents: • 17-year-old male, driver, wearing an ankle monitor • 16-year-old male, wearing an ankle monitor • 15-year-old male • 14-year-old male, wearing an ankle monitor • 13-year-old male The investigation confirmed the vehicle was stolen. The following charges were filed: All five juveniles: • Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 3rd Degree • Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle in the 3rd Degree • Obstruction of Governmental Administration 17-year-old male (driver): • Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle • Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs) • Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (Leandra’s Law) • Reckless Driving • Resisting Arrest The 17-year-old driver and the 14-year-old were remanded to secure detention. The 13-year-old and 15-year-old were released to a parent or guardian. The 16-year-old was issued an expedited appearance ticket. This incident highlights the continued effectiveness of the Greece Police Department’s LPR network in identifying stolen vehicles and supporting real-time enforcement efforts. The Greece Police Department commends the outstanding work of the officers involved. Their professionalism, coordination, and tactical decision-making ensured the pursuit was brought to a safe conclusion, resulting in the successful apprehension of all involved. We also extend our appreciation to the @RochesterNYPD Rochester Police Department for their assistance during this incident.
