For the one millionth time, you cannot “overbook” a train. We have a walk up railway. Think of it like a bus, not a plane. Passengers with flexible tickets pick their train. Seat reservations are free. If we had a reservation only railway, those standing wouldn’t be travelling.

why do people (including me) have an aversion to AI writing but not as much to AI code? if a piece of text smells AI i stop reading it but i use things coded entirely with AI every day

The real breakthrough wasn’t AI writing code, it was software becoming modular and API-driven. Before containerization is was mega hard for anyone remarkable to do anything that good. API's and modular software meant decent people could make amazing stuff fast. AI makes it a LITTLE more accessible, and a little faster, but the paradigm leap was about 10 years ago. The whole "single person unicorn" thing comes from that period. Tell me why I'm wrong, aware this isn't my expertise

Most of the time when I hear about what people have automated with AI, it’s clear the problem was just that systems before have been terrible. AI shouldn’t be a usability patch on shitty systems
