She’s 4yrs old, and has a real sweet nature! She can be cheeky, and can get a bit ‘silly’ when excited! She has been known to mouth during playtime and she does steal things! She was also a little destructive in her previous home - we did find her a home before July, but unfortunately she was returned due her behaviour, and the other dog in the home found her a little too much! She’s not cat friendly, and will chase other small furries! Whilst Brenda does get along with most other dogs when out on walks - particularly the other sight hounds, she can be a little over the top which some dogs find intimidating! Due to her past behaviour in the home - the mouthing etc, we wouldn’t be able to rehome Brenda with young children. She is a super friendly and affectionate girl! She loves people, and is a firm favourite amongst the volunteers! She always enjoys fuss, and is one of the dogs who benefits from day trips out by the volunteers… where she is reported to be impeccably behaved! My wife passed away this morning at 3:30am with her hand in mine. After being diagnosed with lupus a few weeks ago, my wife passed out in the Newark airport on her way home on December 26. I would have lost her then had my brother in-law not been traveling back to the states with her.  I took the next flight up from Charlotte, and was with her in the ICU. She was in transitioned to a normal room, which kept us all in high spirits. She had a minor operation due tomorrow, but unfortunately, she did not make it to the sunrise. I didn’t know she was about to transition, but I slept in the hospital rooms with her and was able to speak to, and sing to her just about 30 minutes before she passed.  She always talked about the day when she would finally hear the applause of Heaven for the life she lived. That day is today. No other words to offer at the moment except please keep the Washington and Meshoe family in your prayers.
