If Allvin goes & Foote is sent packing, would the #Canucks promote both Johnson & Malhotra to the big club? They’d be cheap, but then again, they’d also be a rookie NHL GM & coach, which hasn’t worked out for them with Allvin & Foote. If JR stays, would he want more experience?

I would think any prospective coach would recognize that Adam Foote would be fired due to his inability to adequately coach at the NHL level. If two coaches were willing to come here after what they put Boudreau through, then there's nothing that can convince me that some young coach won't look at this defensive core, and the draft capital we've accumulated and say "Let me build something here, from the ground up". Remember, the average NHL head coach "lifespan" is 2.3 years. Jon Cooper and Jared Bednar are the exceptions, not the rule.

The floor crossing is excessive for a government that is less than a year old in a minority parliament. Serious commentators and analysts might want to turn their attention to the longer term implications of seizing a majority this way and what it does for trust in politicians.

Carney just secured his majority. I wouldn't be surprised if even more NDP MPs cross the floor. Alberta Independence just got even more support. The Federal system does not work for Alberta. I hope you see that now.
