By leaving tinder on the ground, and prioritizing certain species of birds (no forest clean up) only allowed the fire to spread faster. Nobody denies fires could happen, they just didn't prepare properly.

No, but you clearly are. Did you miss the part where I mentioned the fact that fire-fighting aircraft was grounded due to high winds? How was water supposed to stop embers getting blown across the mountains by 90mph wind gusts? Did you see the firefighters on the ground explain how more water would've had a negligible effect? I know more about this than you do. Trump just wasted a fuckton of water North of us for political points after the fact, and our REPUBLICAN PRESIDENT tried to withhold aid.

Maybe you shouldn't have built a home in a place where insurance companies refuse to insure because of wildfire risks. Aren't Republicans supposed to be the party of personal responsibility?
