I like how every convoluted new "rule" this app comes up with is pretty much solely intended to stop indians and nigerians from shitting up the tl but they wont just geoblock india and nigeria directly despite the fact that EVERY problem on this app could be solved by doing that

Three more cabinet ministers get in on the Air Canada CEO's French omission Melanie Joly " I just thought it showed the lack of empathy and a lack of sensitivity." Marc Miller "But this isn't the first time that he's been told to speak French, and he should know better." Steve MacKinnon "Well, Air Canada is a private corporation." But a reminder (via @sunlorrie) "However, it was this same committee that decided three years ago, during the review of the Official Languages Act, not to require the CEO of Air Canada ... to speak and understand French" How can these Liberal MPs legitimately pile-on when they chose not to require the Air Canada CEO to speak French? Faux outrage! ctvnews.ca/montreal/artic…

Carney conveys his displeasure that the message of condolence conveyed to Air Canada crash victims and families by the CEO had no verbal French translation "I am extremely disappointed by the message released by the CEO of Air Canada. It shows a lack of compassion." As he walks away you can hear him being asked why he himself has no French-speaking speechwriter Doesn't the lack of a Francophone speechwriter demonstrate a similar compassion shortage? And two pilots are dead and the media is obsessively focused on a language gotcha? @MarkJCarney

Shaking my head at this as a gay man. Pride matters, but festivals warn they might scale back without federal funding due to rising costs. Taxpayers shouldn't bear this burden. Many groups face similar pressures and still fundraise and adapt. Pride should be no different. Community support and accountability are essential.

No tax on groceries. That’s right, we’re taking all provincial taxes off food from the grocery store. Breaking Budget Day news you can use... That quick stop on the way home picking up the rotisserie chicken,  salad and drinks for the family - right now, you’re paying PST on that. Once our budget passes … you won’t pay PST anymore. Real savings for real life. Right where it matters most. Making life more affordable for Manitobans. A lot done. A lot more to do. 🦬

JP Tasker to Audior-General Karen Hogue: "Perhaps the most troubling aspect of it for me is that the department may be turning or may have turned a blind eye to fraud." "You identified 800 cases of outright fraud, and the department you found did not consider acting in any of those instances." "What does that say about how Ottawa is handling this file?" And at CBC, it’s always just “Ottawa” or “the department.” Never a decade of Liberal Immigration Ministers responsible: Ahmed Hussen, Marco Mendicino, Sean Fraser, and Marc Miller. Could CBC not reach any of them for comment?

Alberta’s message at CERAWeek is clear: We want to build new pipelines east, west, north, and south - without delay, without hesitation - to supply Asian, European, and American markets with safe, reliable, and responsibly produced energy products. We kicked things off meeting with the Canadian Ambassador to the U.S., Mark Wiseman @MarkDWiseman. Then we opened Alberta House, our home base for the week. After that, I headed to the Canada House Grand Opening to speak alongside federal Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Tim Hodgson @timhodgsonmt, and Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, Tony Wakeham @TonyWakehamNL.

My wife was formerly promiscuous. I was a virgin. She was then radically born-again. Committed to church, evangelized constantly, Puritan books in her bedroom, prayer journals, grief over past sexual sin, etc. We got to know each other well for over a year, dated for four months, engaged for two and a half, and didn't sin sexually with one another. Our first kiss with each other was at the altar on our wedding day (reaction pic attached!). We've been married for over five years now, and she's been the most wonderful and godly wife, mother to our three children, and homemaker you could imagine. She's more pure than most virgins, as biblical purity has less to with past sins (though they certainly matter) and more to do with one's current posture of the heart and daily decisions to honor the Lord (Matt. 5:8). We're far too quick to forget the story of the woman labeled as a known "sinner" (likely a prostitute) in Luke 7:36-50 who was washing Jesus' feet with her tears while kissing them too. The Pharisees were shocked that Jesus let a public sinner do this. Jesus responded with a parable about debts being forgiven and ended with this powerful conclusion: "Her many sins have been forgiven; that’s why she loved much. But the one who is forgiven little, loves little" (Luke 7:47). Everyone seems to highlight the benefits of virginity, and it certainly is a blessing. But we forget to highlight the benefits of being forgiven much as well. My wife knows the depths of Jesus' forgiveness more than most people, enabling her to more easily live out a life of passionate love for her Savior. A woman or man's past sexual sin matters. But what matters far more when it comes to deciding who to marry is if the person is truly born again, if their repentance is real, if they truly have a heart for Christ, if they truly follow Jesus and obey his commands. "God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong. God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world — what is viewed as nothing — to bring to nothing what is viewed as something, so that no one may boast in his presence. It is from him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became wisdom from God for us — our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption, — in order that, as it is written: 'Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.'" (1 Cor. 1:27-31) "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!" (2 Cor. 5:17)

If someone argues that a former promiscuous woman is "damaged goods" and questions whether a Christian young man should marry her, remember Rahab. She was a Canaanite prostitute but became a mother in the lineage of Jesus. God redeemed her, cleansed her, and Salmon married her.

About halfway through Pierre Poilievre's interview with Joe Rogan (I've had a busy last few days). Pierre's ability to break down complex issues like monetary policy, tariffs and resource extraction while staying within a philosophically consistent moral framework is, I think, second to none in the Western world. Like many Canadians, I hope this interview is one of many like it to come in the future.
