US GOVERNMENT'S REJECTION The State Department firmly refutes Lu's alleged urging of the Pakistani government to remove the prime minister. On April 8, 2022, in response to Khan's claim about a cable supporting his interference assertion, State Department spokesperson Jalina Porter dismissed the claim's accuracy, stating, "Let me state unequivocally that these allegations are entirely baseless."
