Perspective matters. The current war in Iran has reportedly killed around ~1,000–1,300 civilians so far… maybe more as the fog of war lifts. Now compare that to what happened just weeks before the war even started. The Iranian regime didn’t need bombs. It didn’t need missiles. It turned its guns inward. Estimates from human rights groups and officials show: 👉 7,000+ protesters killed (confirmed cases) 👉 With estimates ranging into the tens of thousands… even 30,000+ Let that sink in. The regime killed 30X more of its own people in days… than this entire war has so far. And yet… The global outrage machine only seems to activate when the bombs come from outside. When the violence comes from within? Internet blackout. Silence. Denial. This isn’t a defense of war. WAR: So the risk premium has fallen from 5% to 2.5% and now at 1% (still high) for shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. I posted earlier that traffic had resumed to normal as a result but got ravaged by Community Notes. Traffic has resumed as a result BUT it is not normal.
