The realities on the ground in Kosovo all point in the same direction: UNMIK has reached the end of the road. A mission that never ends is not a success, it’s a warning sign of UN dysfunction. Until the UN Security Council reaches agreement to close it, UNMIK should be further streamlined. #UNReform

For Kosovo and Serbia, normalization is the only durable path forward. We urge leaders to lower the temperature, avoid escalation, and stay engaged at the table. President Trump and the American people stand ready to partner with those focused on the future—instead of the past.

SECRETARY RUBIO: For all the people out there talking about how this could have been avoided, Iran was given every opportunity to talk but all they did was reject or delay. President Trump was not going to allow Iran to become a nuclear power on his watch and threaten America ever.

Common-sense reform shouldn’t be this hard. As @AmbUNReform said in the Fifth Committee today, the @UN’s extravagant travel policy sends the wrong signal to the world. The US Mission calls on the Secretary-General to ban business-class travel.

President Trump’s America First approach means working with other countries, through the UN, to share the burden for ending wars and keeping the peace. As I explained to @mirandadevine, we did that with President Trump’s 20pt Peace Plan for Gaza through the Security Council to establish the Board of Peace & the International Stabilization Force. Diplomacy first, share the burden, keep the peace. ☮️
