Second, psychological messaging and media narratives about a “new regime” cannot produce a real strategic victory. While the Trump administration has approached the issue more decisively than previous Democratic administrations, the moment when it could have relied on the Iranian people, who represent a powerful force both on the ground and in opposition to the regime--it instead allowed the Islamic Republic valuable time to regroup and attempt to present a new face of leadership. Rarely in history have the people of a country openly supported military pressure against the regime ruling them. Yet the Iranian people have repeatedly demonstrated their determination for change. Only months ago, they attempted to overthrow this regime with their bare hands and were brutally massacred for it. There is still time. Never forget that the Iranian people can be your greatest strategic asset. This is especially true when there is a credible alternative leadership such as Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, who has demonstrated the ability to mobilize support both inside and outside Iran. If even the smallest remnants of the Islamic Republic remain intact, the world’s security, and even access to vital energy routes--can once again be held hostage. Ignoring the power of the Iranian people and excluding them from any scenario about Iran would not only be a strategic mistake for the West, but also a betrayal of its most natural allies in the Middle East: the people of Iran.

More than 1600 executions in Iran in 2025 – a shocking 68% increase from the year before and the highest number since 1989. An average of 4–5 executions per day was used to intimidate citizens, suppress dissent, and maintain control as protests continued to erupt across the country. Here are some even more shocking numbers of a regime that is surviving by the rope: -Public hangings were carried out, sometimes in front of children -At least 48 women executed – the highest number in over 20 years -Society’s most vulnerable disproportionately targeted I don't know how this could be said more clearly so that even Leftists would understand the importance of international intervention to stop these atrocities.
